It’s been a long time since i first got this error and i though it was fixed.
Basically i can’t play any mode of overwatch, even if it is the tutorial or the practice range. Whenever i try to play any of this modes the message in the chat “Error starting game, trying again” appears. Last time i tried, i was able to use the game chat (the orange one) and notice i wasn’t the only one getting this problem, there was others in the same situation that couldn’t play but others that could too. I’m from Argentina so i play in the Americas region in brazilian servers.
This is a really annoing error as is not a cliet problem. I tried restarting my game first and then my pc but i still get this error. I checked on google and is a thing that has been going some time now, but didn’t find any solutions. I don’t think is something i can fix from my pc and the only answers from devs i could find where saying that they’ll check it out.
Guess i ain’t playing Overwatch today as if it fixes for the afternoon i won’t be at home :c. Damm i really wanted to climb to dimond again this morinig.
I have the same problem since last night, “Error starting game, trying again” i can chat with the people in the match, but the map wont load and the error message keeps repeating itself.

Same problem here. “Error Starting game, trying again” over and over. I can see the chat but the game does not load. same thing with any game mode: arcade, custom games, quick play, training. Please take a look at it.
Try a different regions guys. for now, working for me.
same here (Americas). Battle(dot)net doesn’t show any updates… and I already ran scan&repair.
Yesterday I had the same problem but I managed to get into a match after a couple tries. But today my chat got filled with “Error starting game, trying again.”. It’s really annoying having to deal with this problem again, hope it get fixed soon.
