Hello,
I am unable to join any matches, including the Practice Range. Any time I do, I get an error message saying: Error Applying Update - Unknown Error (0).
I have seen a few other posts like mine with very few people having the problem resolved. I’ve done a lot of troubleshooting (restarting, reinstalling, internet, firewall, drivers, etc.) to no avail. I am officially all out of ideas. I figure it has to be on Blizzard’s end at this point.
If anyone has had this issue resolved, please let me know what you did.

Sorry to hear you are having a tough time too. I am having the same issue. This has happened to me for like three straight comp queues and now I’m suspended for 20 hrs. I tried resetting the game when the applying update error occurs and it doesn’t even attempt to add me to the match I was supposedly getting connected with. It’s really frustrating, so if anyone has any tips that would certainly be appreciated.

I have been banned from comp play which I suspect may be due to this issue. I have no way to file the appeal because apparently the system is infallible. I’m really beyond annoyed with this, but I hope you all are having better luck with it. See you in Season three I guess…
Same for my friend, played normally couple of hours ago – now has this same issue. Tried everything, restart, repair, reinstall, VPN (cuz maybe internet or whatever), firewall – nothing worked, cannot play.
i just has this happen i qued ranked it said Applying Update for like 3 minutes so i closed the game re launched and now im banned from ranked for 15 min
Glad to see I’m not the only one. Hopefully they’ll have it fixed tonight because I wanted to play some ![]()
Literally get this error everyday for the first game to load. Open QP match, applying update error, quit and reload game.
Is there anything that can be done about the ban time? Cos I’m the same
Another reinstall of the game seemingly helped… Either the issue got fixed itself, or just… reinstall till success
