Is there something I need to do to remove the files beyond “Uninstall and remove files”

Yeah, the steps have been covered a few times on the forum for this error. Here’s some instructions from the staff:

Hey all, We had the Overwatch team look into this and it appears that the majority of players are having issues due to a corrupt local cache where the hotfix data is being applied. To fix a corrupt local cache: Press Win+R Type %localappdata% Open Blizzard Entertainment folder Find Overwatch folder and delete it.
