Error adding phone number

Hi I am unable to get into my own Overwatch account that I have been playing on for the past 2 years or so. I tried updating my phone number and it resulted in me being faced with completely being unable to add a valid phone number. At this stage I have entered several phone numbers roughly 10. None of them work. Also note that my number was working just fine on my second account and I wanted to move it over. It now no longer works. I have been contacting support back and forth for about 3 weeks and they do not know what the issue is and say that they have exhausted all possible troubleshooting their side and are un able to help me. I have gone through everything I can my side to be able to qualify to add my number but it still rejects it. Please note that this issue seems to be the highest ranking issue of all time and I find a multitude of individuals experiencing the same issue with them resorting to buying several numbers in the hopes that one of them works. I ask that this issue please be resolved as it is hindering players from being able to play and closing Blizzard off to a large number of new players.

You replaced the number with a different one on your second account?

I’m not sure you can even link that same number again if it’s a different account.

As someone who does a lot of troubleshooting, I’d say not even close to the top issue.

Hi Nicole thanks for tying to assist me with information :slight_smile: . To my knowledge the forums I was directed to by the Game master had a Top issue filter and invalid phone number was at the top at 68.4k viewers. I tried linking the number that was on there 2 days ago and it failed to accept the same number that had worked all this time. I compensated for the possibility of it being an issue pertaining to not being able to connect a number that has already been connected by using a multitude of different numbers that have never been connected to a blizzard account.

Okay, I was speaking about the technical support forum, which is where you are posting. Second, there are three different phone number issues that are labeled the same by players submitting bugs in the bug-report forum. The first is that they are trying to use a prepaid phone number. The second is that their number is already attached to another account. The third is that the number is from an unsupported country and cannot be verified.

[ Edit: On the note of your number, I’m unsure how you removed it from your account, as I was not aware that was possible. ]

However, I regret to inform you that the only people who can review your account and see where your numbers are linked are those who are answering the tickets. If they said they can no longer help, then they are suggesting you submit a bug report (in the Bug Report forum) about the issue, which would not be collected in the technical support forum. This forum is solely for player-to-player troubleshooting.
