At MINIMUM these missions need to rotate into the arcade. Or just be added as a permanent game mode with new missions added every so often.
From the Main Subreddit 2440 upvotes. Pls Jeff and the team. Do this let us play this mode in arcade or in a extra Tab. And make more of those within a year perhaps. I want more and i would pay for it if it was an expansion whatsoever. I hope the archives fill quickly and not really only once a year but at very least make it some sort of permanent. Or make it permanent for custom games and let us change those bots etc.

There’s really no reason to not include the missions among the arcade rotation. They can still keep the items event locked if that’s what they want, or have it show up at a lower frequency if they want to keep the idea “fresh”.

Don’t even have to put them in arcade, just add a new “PVE” or “Archives” selection in the play menu.

We have heard that the community wants PvE modes to be permanent since the first time we implemented them on the game, however here at Blizzard we have a strict “No Fun” policy plus we dont want people to be able to grind loot boxes on PvE because then our customers wont spend money on loot boxes.

I haven’t even got to try it yet and have literally only heard good things and seen people scratch their heads as to why we can’t keep it. Has blizzard said anything at all about This? Why can’t they just put it on the arcade wheel of rng?

There really is 0 reason why the dev team should spend so much time working on an event when they could be fixing comp, making more than 3 heroes per year etc, only for that event to run for a whopping 3 out of 52 weeks per year…
They put so much effort into Uprising and Retribution for it so only be playable for 20 out of 365 days. It needs to be permanent.

If not arcade, then at least an option in the custom modes. I really enjoy the PVE stuff. It’s no stress, challenging, and more varied then just playing the standard VS AI mode

It’s a matter of business.
No one is going to be as hyped for Uprising if we can play its events year round. That might be bad for Blizzard, because less hype for an event by the community could equal less lootbox sales and less interest during that time.

Agree wholeheartedly. Have it as a map in custom games, whatever, but if the concern is that it siphons players from the matchmaking pool - well what kind of an excuse is that? You made a great game mode that lots of people want to play, oh no, woe is us.

Overwatch will never have such a thing, depending on Blizzard. It’s a Competitive game, not a “casual” game.
Casual with quotes because people have the wrong concept of casual players here

Hero stacking was one of the core pillars of this game that was even defended by devs in developer updates. This game should and must evolve in order to stay fresh and interesting and there’s really no reason not to keep this as a permanent pve mode.

I’m expecting the whole Archives thing to be an always available Bank of PvE that will grow with time. I’m probably wrong though
