Seems like leaving Arcade matches now decreases endorsement level… That kinda sucks but whatever…

It’s my understanding it was always that way. There are a certain number of games you can leave in a day or week, and if you break that limit you take a hit.
It lines up with my experience anyhow. I only ever play arcade or QP, and the only time my ranking ever took a hit was when my group leader was pulling the team out of tons of arcade games one night. The next morning my endorsement level dropped.

Being reported also lowers your endorsement level. You don’t even need to be guilty or have action taken, just being reported at all will lower your endorsement level. The trolls have all the power in this game.

This was already the case. Leaving games always hurt it. Including arcade.

Leaving any mode does this; arcade is no exception. This has been the case for a very long time.

No.I always had endorsement 2 up until last week. Now its on 1 and wont go up, most likely because i leave all 2cp maps lol. ( didnt affect it before tho )

It’s been so for a long time. I dropped 5 → 1 from ragequitting FFA over audio bugs and too many Hogs & Moiras. I’ll take xp penalty any day over gritting teeth and popping arteries for “entertainment”.

It’s a bit more like how many games you can have that “have no endorsements incoming” in the last 50-100 games you have played. When you leave a game you don’t get endorsements and then some penalty, small but accmuluatable if you consider the whole pool.
This theory also supports why you sometimes get random endorsement level increase despite not happening when getting endorsed

Its because the lower your level is, the harder it is to get your level lowered. If you somehow went beneath two its probably because you left A LOT nor used your endorsements a lot.
I’m level 5 before you ask. So i know a bit about that.

This is not new. It doesn’t decrease only if you leave in the prep phase but I wouldn’t risk it anyway.
It depended on the arcade mode. You can leave modes like Mystery Heroes all day and night and never get a leaver penalty or drop in endorsement.

That wouldn’t explain the drop I saw though, as I only played about 15 games that day with the group, and got 1-2 endorsements from non-group members or the other team in most of the matches. So there was no real dry spell for endorsements.
The only negative inputs where the team leader pulling us out of matches before the match started if he didn’t like the picks, how the extras were playing, someone needed a drink break, or just at the very end of the match when “Victory” or “Defeat” displayed, that kind of thing.
Beyond that it was kind of uneventful.
I had just gotten lvl 5 a week or so earlier, so maybe it was the collective action of other left games from a few days earlier that all added up for the demotion?
Either way, the rule I learned was that, even if you’re not the one who pulls your team out of a game, it counts against you. I rarely leave games now as a rule, and have kept my endorsement ever since.

Because staying at level 2 is nothing special. Even dropping from 3 is kinda difficult.
You would have to try by leaving games… what you did 
Leaving games seems to drop your endorsement substantially. When I finally got tired of being put into back to back paris and koth matches, I started leaving and I went from 3 to 2 quickly.
