Players should have an endorsement level of at least 2 in order to play ranked.
At silver rank, you’re lucky to get half of a team that knows how to play the game. Most games are blow outs with one team losing, not because of skill, but because of a teammate’s lack of knowledge or interest of the game. I expect bronze is worse. How is this considered competitive?? Players playing ranked should be expected to play and know the objective of the game.
50 *wins in quick play is NOT enough. An endorsement level of 2 isn’t asking much and demonstrates some experience/knowledge playing as a team.
What’s the point of endorsements if not to prevent trolls from going into comp?
This company is just toxic with how bad they managed this release.

The endorsement system isn’t a serious measurement, especially knowing that users just throw endorsements here and there with disregard to what the system is intended to do.
Can’t really implement this system for something like that.
Endorsements aren’t thrown around as often as you make it seem, I don’t think. You’d think I’d see less endorsement 1’s out there if they were. The endorsement level of 2 still has a higher chance of playing with someone that understands the objective of the game compared to level 1.
You’re seeing more endorsement lvl 1’s because the game is free.
New players have come to the game, they don’t start at level 3 you know.
Even then it’s pure chance.
Imagine being able to play ranked and you get banned or suspended or for some reason you drop that low, then suddenly your access is restricted.

no. trying to gate-keep people from playing comp because they dont use or receive endorsements is insane. welcome to intro to authoritarianism! day one…
Gate-keeping? It’s no different than the requirement to play 50 qp games. And what’s so “insane” about it?
thats an experience requirement. there is a difference.
That’s why the endorsement requirement would help so much. There are so many new players that are still learning the game and it’s defeating the purpose of the competitive game mode where people go to compete in the game. If people want to play, experiment and learn thats what QP is for. The requirement to earn rank 2 (which isn’t that hard) is meant to make competitive live up to the name. It raises the experience level of those who can compete and increases the chances of being teamed with a full team of people that know what they’re doing. Like Trials of Osiris for Destiny.
Endorsements aren’t based off chance. If you perform good or are a good team player the endorsements WILL come. It’ll take time, you won’t get them all the time you do good, but if you play good enough it will come. And that’s how people gain experience and learn.
If someone is banned and fall back in endorsement level then they work their way back up. Endorsement level 2 is not that hard.
This is a good idea minus the fact that half the playerbase doesn’t endorse. Ever. And the amount of endorsements required to go up, combined with the amount required to STAY at 2, is too much for how pointless the system is.
That and they removed the tri-color system so endorsements are just pointless now

What was the intention for the endorsement system?
I thought they’d implied it would be used to sort people, for example, that low endorsements would be forced to play with each other.
But then they did nothing with it.
The most it does is act as a warning not to expect much from the person who’s say a level 1, whether that’s because they’re new, a one trick that never changes or straight toxic.
I wouldn’t be surprised if endorsement level isn’t inversely proportional to money spent. i.e. 
endorsement level = 
money spent
As in, they probably don’t want to properly manage it.
I have never dropped below 3 since I got there and I’m usually 4 and that’s with me saying stuff. (I noticed you get more endorsements if you don’t say anything in team chat.)
I would prefer if they changed the endorsement system. Instead of only 2 per game, I’d just like to be able to up, down or no vote. Often, a whole team will be good and other times, there is no one I want to endorse. There are also people who I wouldn’t want to endorse or not endorse.
Either way, right now it’s pointless.

If you want endorsements it’s not hard - play Arcade. Those guys LOVE to endorse.

Do you play more QP or Comp? QP Players always endorse whereas comp players almost never endorse, especially on a loss
I almost exclusively play comp.
I almost always get at least 2 endorsements, though like I said, it tends to go down if I try to point things out that could help.
But I usually play tank or support, and my guess would be you normally play DPS? And I think since people only get 2, it normally goes to supports and tanks first. That’s why I’d prefer just to be able to endorse or not endorse everyone, and also the ability to negative endorse, not just report.
I fully support the idea because reaching level 2 its quite easy.
But staying in 1 its really reallly hard because it means
-You are a leaver.
-You get reported often
-You already got ban or constantly.

There’s the kicker. I’ve been playing damage to try and rank it up and almost never get endorsed even if I’m playing super well.
