That shows you’re in plat, which is probably the hardest tier to climb out of. A lot of players get stuck in between 2700-3000 for a while. That’s pretty much where my elo hell is anyway.
Ive done this before, I don’t get stuck in plat.
High diamond is usually the place where It takes a bit longer to get out for me because its closer to my normal rank.
This also depends on who you play though, so keep this in mind. Some heroes are easier to climb with than others. I’m sure if I stopped being a tank/support player, I could easily get out of plat and slow down in high diamond too.
That has very little to do with heroes and more with your personal skill on those heroes, For me personally If I were to play zarya I would climb way faster for example.
Actually, it has a lot to do with the heroes themselves. For example, an average Tracer would be able to climb higher than a good Rein in our current meta because the reward would be higher with less risk involved. Meanwhile, if an average Rein and an average Tracer were put side by side, the Rein would still be getting smoked by the Tracer because she’s a hard carry hero, much like Genji.

A 3700SR rein ( tank) main will eventually get to 3700 no matter where he starts. It might take him a bit longer than a tracer main but he will get there.
i just played with 2 russians , that picked mercy/soldier and they were dancing (emote) on enemy team the whole game “elo hell doesn’t exist”

Can you share with a high silver rein main, how you managed to climb out of silver to gold and play with our shield wielding friend?

In this environment? Not likely. If you’re looking at a 3700SR Rein, I guarantee you most of that SR was gained from different characters, not the Rein. In our current meta, the Rein can only get you so far before you have to swap. It’s basically like how our 4v4 PvP is in FFXIV at the moment.
For the past few seasons, Paladin was pretty good and so was Warrior. Meanwhile, Dark Knight was absolute trash. Well, for the past 2 seasons, Dark Knight has been dominating as the tank and Paladin and Warrior are now garbage. You cannot climb as Paladin or Warrior. I was a Paladin main for a few seasons, then got hard stuck in gold (this is coming from someone who is a top 100 player in every season, so this means I’ve been gold-diamond every time).
It wasn’t until I swapped to Dark Knight that the points came rolling in easily and I climbed without breaking a sweat. My loss streaks turned to win streaks. I was decimating teams that were still running a Paladin or Warrior comp and as I reached the top 100, it finally boiled down to just Dark Knight teams and who was the better Dark Knight (see: pre-nerf Mercy meta).
Anyway, all I’m saying here is that with Rein right now, he cannot break a certain threshold that is currently in the game. He just can’t. It’s physically impossible for him. This is why soooooooooooooooooo many Rein players, including those in the top 500 that play Rein periodically, are upset with his current situation because he’s absolute garbage, even in the lower tiers.
He gets punished entirely too easily and doesn’t really have much of an answer for anything right now, and it’s only going to get worse once Brigitte is unlocked for comp. So yes, you can reach 3700SR with Rein, but it won’t be only with Rein as you say.
I’m not really sure what silver is like since I never get placed there and I haven’t been gold in forever, sooooo… I’m not really sure, honestly, lol. I mean, when a new season rolls around, I always get placed in plat, then I hover between 2500 and 3000 the entire season (usually closer to 2700-3000 though). Sometimes I’ll swap over to D.Va though since she’s a solid pick, then I’ll get some easy wins with her, and go back to Rein since I can afford the SR.
I’ve maintained a 50%+ win ratio on Rein this entire time, but even so, you can’t climb through plat with just him alone because that’s where he hits his wall with how things are right now. It doesn’t really matter how good you are. It’s just the threshold that’s in place right now due to our current meta. He has no place in it.
Now, that’s not to say GM players or top 500 players can’t play Rein in their games, but Orisa is always a more solid pick at their level, so there’s usually not a reason for them to play Rein unless they’re incredibly confident and want that ult for crowd control (which is usually the only reason why I even play Rein these days, even if his ult is busted to hell and back, lol).
So OP admitted to intentionally throwing games? And who buys 8 alt accounts to prove a point? This doesn’t even make sense. What’s funny is you literally contradict everything by telling us you can’t climb fast on your main!

One other thing I’ll mention; I just hopped back on my main that decayed from 3711 to 3000. All of my matches have been with 5 master/gm’s on my side while I sit there looking like a scrub at low diamond. I’m getting about 60sr per win, 20sr per loss, and am at 3407 in one day, and 2 of those games had a leaver. I cant climb that fast on my hardstuck accounts. This is entirely because my MMR is still high and im getting placed with good teams.

and just like that we’re back to master, 3000-3515 in 1 day . My other two new accounts I opened have been at high diamond for a month now. And I wont lie, the difference in quality of players I get between the accounts is astounding. We’re not even having to communicate much unless someone on our team has a big ult like zarya. Everyone just knows how to do their job.
It really doesn’t exist. If I’m on a losing streak I just stop filling for the team and climb back to where I was before. Elo hell only exists if you main support or flex to so many heroes that you’re not actually very good at anyone

Lots of people main supports… So what you’re saying is, don’t do that, play something else. That doesn’t make any sense.
For dps its based on you for tank and support its on the dps so placement matches the first 10 if you get crappy teams you get a low sr then the dps on your team in that sr…ya thats right still sucks so how do you climb i dont want to dps i want to play tank and some people like support that is why the sr ranking is broken ill go 6 and 1 dps gos 20 and 1 he gets a crap ton of sr i dont because i did my job couldnt push fight on point get my 30 kills cuz my team isnt skilled enough to do so higher ranks who play with the tank is who im compared to i could be better then them but if there team plays with them i will never have as good of games as them same with any healer dps can run around and get kills on a bad game while we just die
I’d like to touch on a few things I’ve seen in the replies
- I never threw games, I got my mmr low in quickplay and played support. Easiest way to place low.
- Smurfing is not against ToS
- Im not able to climb on my main because my mmr is very screwed up.
- 8 accounts do not cost much, I think you should do some research.
- Im not just lucky, you’re just stubborn.

2.) I don’t care if I’m playing against smurfs (if anything, its a good way to learn from them since they bothered to go into lower SR ranges), but my problem is when those smurfs decide to go on a deranking rampage (by that, I mean you intentionally lose your matches).

So, I’m stubborn for filling roles that the others didn’t pick and can’t win because they decide to go 4 DPS and trickle in, or decide to go Mei and wall us in spawn/away from the objective/to trouble, or just intentionally fall off the map or feed the enemy team ult-charge? I’d say you’re lucky if you get this the least.
