I don’t get why people still think all ranks below diamond are “elo hell”. They aren’t. These ranks are just ranks, exactly like all the other ranks in all other competitive games. In a perfect game that doesn’t involve pay to win or smurfs, a gold player should naturally be placed in gold and a diamond player should naturally be placed in diamond and so on. I guess you can say there are more throwers and leavers in the low ranks (because people take the game less seriously), but let’s be honest here. There isn’t a thrower and leaver in literally ALL your games, right? And sure, you can say that your teammates are holding you back, but before you blame your teammates and call them “trash”, try to look and review your own gameplay. I promise you that if you review your own gameplay you will very soon find out that you are not less “trash” then your “idiotic” teammates. Fact is, you are gold and they are gold, which makes you the SAME level. You’re not better then them and vice versa, stop thinking your a Grandmaster level god stuck in the lowest pits of elo hell because of your “trash teammates”. And let me be clear, they are trash, but you are trash as well! You both are on the same level! If you were really a grandmaster, you would naturally climb to grandmaster, it’s that simple! Every player in EVERY rank thinks he’s better than his teammates. But he isn’t, him and his teammates are on the same level of play, and that’s the reason they are in the same rank. And if you still don’t believe me, watch one of Ragtag’s toxic coaching videos on YouTube. Each one of these people that sends him gameplay thinks he is a God and thinks he’s stuck in elo hell, and then ragtagg laughs at them and points out all of their mistakes. You see, I was a silver player once too, but I practiced and trained and eventually got to diamond. There is no shortcuts, if you really want that higher rank you must keep playing and you will naturally rank up. I’m tired of these gold scrubs always blaming their team for their mistakes, instead of noticing their own mistakes.
Listen, I can’t really say “the only constant is you”. I’ve been in the lower ranks and saw the idiots there. I lost many games because of throwers and leavers, but that shouldn’t stop you. Don’t stop playing and improving, and I promise you, the moment you improve, you will climb up.
Well, I can’t help you there. You’re getting bad luck with the matchmaking and smurfs, I hope blizzard fixes that problem soon. But you know even in high diamond there are smurfs and bad matchmaking, it’s just a problem we all deal with, and climb even though this problem is making is harder
Everything I posted had nothing to do with luck. It is the system, that allows this, plain and simple. And by “this” I mean ladder manipulation.
I’m not saying diamond does not have its problems. Level of RNG is still lower there, simply because of 5-times less player base.

I main Rein. I have DPS mains on my team. I have support mains on my team. What exactly is that “level”, which is the same for us?
The problem right now is no one is going to play their main account outside of streamers. High bronze right now is littered with plat smurfs who wont play their main accounts out of fear of losing SR and or to be turds.
It’s one thing to play on your smurf to learn new heroes. It’s another to be playing your main dps 1000 Sr below where you normally play.
There is nothing hip about playing widow and getting POTG in the pits.
With the majority of the player base in gold and plat, the skill varience inside these ranks is huge. The majority of players will always be in these ranks because rank is on a bell curve. This is just math, some consider this elo hell. Congratulations on getting diamond.
neither Gold nor silver are elo hell, i think mid silver to low Gold is
btw what really hurts me: got 150sr removed cause of the System bug 2 days ago. Wont get it, that are 7 games at least. every game around 30 min, thats 3,5h only Winning.
