Personally, I’ve never heard of a reason to not have guns. I’m never impressed when people say “Well, this place doesn’t have shootings like America because they banned guns!” nowdays since it seems like other places are having a ton of violence anyway.
Most recently was that guy who killed 10 people with a knife. You can’t even say “well, it would have been worse if he had a gun!” because he still killed 10 people.
She seemed like a nice lady. Of course the very existence of monarchy is an abomination and a blight on human history, but she wasn’t too bad!

theoretically it does but it would be political suicide to actually act on them i think there was a film about such a thing where king charles denied an act of parliament because it would have invades peoples privacy, and in regards to welfare they get a budget from the government and in return the government gets all the profits from the crownlands

They can step in if something is super necessary and I believe they even have the power to remove them from their position if they wanted to, though I don’t think the Queen ever used this power towards anyone during her reign.
