Elimination sound effect not working on 'assist' elims

I only hear the typical Elimination PING sound when I kill someone (as in I show up in the kill feed). Elims that I took part in that I did not finish show Eliminated Player on screen but with no sound effect. Is this part of the new update or a bug?

Following, because this has been completely throwing of my game. Also, it isn’t making a sound when you get an assist either.

Mine seems iffy… sometimes it does sometimes it doesn’t. It’s definitely broken.

Blizz cmon! Lots of people having this problem. Whats the deal?

It is such a core element of the experience for me.

We could really do with an update on this situation.

Same problem. Tried the “Scan and Repair” option and a clean reinstall and the problem still persists.

This is ruining the game for me. Guess I’ll go play apex :man_shrugging:

This isnt the first thread about it and blizz hasnt even SPOKEN about being aware of the issue yet! Think about how long the patch has been live, as if nobody noticed it until now…

Same problem here. It is amazing how much this little detail ruins the gaming experience. Blizzard ease fix this quickly.

Covered in various threads, but, I’ve only recently noticed you now get the elimination sound when breaking a shield.

Grr.

Are there even any staff here? It’s like being at a really poor airport with all the passengers looking at eachother, waiting for staff to sort the issue.

We’ve got both of these threads open on it, constantly being bumped AND it’s been raised in the technical support area.

This is the fifth day of the issue.

Think we need a further update on the situation.

It becomes difficult to continue a game without any communication with the developers, soon a week that this bug exists and no news of the devs, I am a faithful of the game but there is too much
