Elementalist Hero

In short: A hero who, instead of just having one ‘element’ in their kit, like how Mei uses ice and Ashe and Torb fire, can use multiple element types to make a really diverse character. They’d also follow in Ramattra’s footsteps and be a stance switcher, just to a slightly less pulverising extent. And to top it off, they’ll be a support, as the next heroes are gonna be supports.

Bear in mind that I will be using more magic related terms, but that’s purely for flavor; the character still uses forms of tech for their abilities.

New Support Hero: Phoenix

General:

  • Health: 200 HP
  • Movement Speed: 5.5m/s

Passive: Mana Burn

Whenever Phoenix uses an ability, any of his abilities in his inactive stances have their active cooldowns reduced by 0.5 seconds.

Phoenix has a unique HUD that shows his two stances not currently in use, showing their Ability Icon and their current active cooldown.

Upon selection/respawning, Phoenix will default to his Oceanic Stance.

Weapon: Feather Darts

Phoenix throws out a cluster of feather shaped darts that deal damage at long range, with a unique effect depending on which stance Phoenix is currently in.

In his Ignis Stance, Feather Darts deal less impact damage, but deal damage over time on successful hits.

In his Gaia Stance, Feather Darts inflict a stacking debuff to the target, reducing their damage output.

In his Oceanic Stance, Feather Darts inflict a stacking slow to the target.

Ultimate Ability: Phoenix Fire

Phoenix buffs himself, greatly reducing the Cooldown of Gaia, Ignis and Oceanic, and healing all allies in range of him over time. At the end of the ability, Phoenix burns up any remaining energy, releasing large bursts of healing and damage to all enemies and allies, cycling through his three stances. The damage and healing increases after each stance change; after the final pulse, Phoenix is left in a vulnerable state, and is temporarily unable to move.

  • Ultimate Cost: 1,750
  • Buff Duration: 8 seconds
  • Stance Cooldown Reduction: 90%
  • Damage: 50/80/135

  • Range: 12m
  • Ammo: Infinite

Ability 1: Gaia

Phoenix switches into his Gaia Stance.

  • Range: Personal
  • Cooldown: 12 seconds

  • Slow: 30%
  • Healing: 15 per second
  • Duration: 5 seconds

Gaia Stance:

Secondary Fire: Magnitude

Phoenix slams his glove into the ground, rooting himself and sending shock waves through the earth in a cone in front of him, dealing damage and stunning enemies on the first hit. The longer Phoenix channels the ability, the more damage it deals, but increases its Cooldown.

Ability 2: Rock Wall

Phoenix slams the ground in front of him, dealing damage to enemies in range before erecting a wall of rocks at the end of his path. The wall blocks all incoming damage, but doesn’t last very long. Activating the ability while the damage travels through the ground will cause the wall to be built early; activating the ability while the wall is active will instantly destroy it.

  • Wall Size: 6m Wide, 5m Tall
  • Wall Duration: 3 seconds
  • Damage: 50
  • Maximum Range: 20m
  • Cooldown: 12 seconds

  • Duration: Infinite

Ability 2: Fire Spin

Phoenix traps a target in a swirling vortex of fire, dealing damage and rooting them for a few seconds. Fire Spin can be used on an ally to reduce the damage they receive, while buffing any ranged damage with additional fire damage, increasing the damage of projectiles and adding a small burning effect.

Cooldown: 12 seconds

Enemy:

  • Damage: 15 per second
  • Duration: 3 seconds
  • Burn Damage: 10 per second

Ally:

  • Damage Reduction: 25%

How long do you want the spreadsheet to be?

YES.

Keep in mind over-complicated chars are not good or even considering worth the work to put in and unhealthy for the game.
