That’s all. She’s very dainty and weak in appearance, with a waist and wrists that looks like they may snap at the slightest breeze, almost like paper, and she has soft edges and many curves, yet she hits very hard. It was odd hearing she’s dps. You can guess quite easily with anyone else. Her backstory also propped her up to be something good, but she just kills things.
She’s a killer robot that has a misleading demeanor and can copy people. Basically, she’s all of the omnic-hating part of humanity’s worst fears.
I was bored with her because I thought she’d just be a robot mercy as a support, but now I’m just confused.
Of course, she also has sharper parts, it’s still very unexpected. Granted, I suppose I could assume she was ‘born’ to her creator being killed in front of her.
She is used by OW for OW purposes. Her “killer robot” is misleading in itself because she is meant to keep peace in a way. She is supposed to fighting “evil omnics” and Talon.
A pretty major portion of the Damage roster consists of thin/small women, but their combat styles don’t revolve around physically tackling and punching people, so their size doesn’t really have any relation to damage output.
Out of all the women in the damage roster, I’d only call Mei’s design misleading and she used to be defense. Symmetra used to be support. As such, I don’t count them.
Do you mean to say “calling her a killer robot”? I suppose. It’s how she comes over, but by that logic I guess I could say the same about Tracer in that regard, even if Tracer feels significantly less lethal.
I mean more than just her model. Her over all look, I mean. It’s like if Mei were announced as dps today. She looks so soft and friendly. Sombra looks sharp and nefarious. Widow looks cold and unsympathetic.
Zen has no pointy bits, is small, short, rounded, wears baggy comfortable pants, doesn’t even make auditory disturbances with sound, yet he can carry a team with kills, as another omnic, even one on the path to enlightenment and peace
Omnics can dish it out, I don’t think her design is misleading. She’s supposed to be the evolution of the standard omnic, she is cleaner, brighter, and more adaptable
means that overwatch converted her into killer robot… proving that overwatch was and evil organization , Tracer and the company are villains in this universe
She didn’t do much in the cinematic, in all honesty. I thought she was low damage. Also, Baptiste’s look suits the off support (support/dps, in his case) role.
True. She is indeed very weak. And her color scheme is associated with modernity. Kind of like an Apple product, which also… break easily and do a lot of damage. Mostly damage to your wallet.
Well, now I’m laughing because Tracer does laugh and quip quite a bit during the Null Sector mission in London, for someone who is mowing down people and dealing with herself and her allies being shot at.
Well she is designed to be a glass-cannon DPS from what I’ve seen and heard. In that sense, looking fragile and dainty suits her.
Maybe I’m alone in this but when I think of an agile but fragile female character, I’d either think of a thief-like character or someone like Echo.
(Maybe it’s because I’ve WALL-E too much and she reminds me of EVE.)
I can’t believe it… Null Sector was right all along! We need a Null Sector hero, a true hero, ASAP! No, I do not just say that because I really wanted that one omnic in Storm Rising to be a hero.
I wouldn’t be surprised if EVE was on her moodboard tbh. I haven’t seen the movie, though. I hear it’s good.
