Echo sucks when using a controller

Bah. Everyone understands the limitations of a controller. That’s not the point. The point is that they didn’t properly account for those limitations when designing Echo’s abilities. Rebinds, new hardware, or just throwing up your hands aren’t fixes. (The Xbox Elite controller is indeed awesome, and I highly recommend it, but it’s not relevant.)

It’s exactly the same as if they had set her primary fire to F12 for keyboard/mouse. It’s such an obvious flaw that they must not have done a single internal test with a controller.

Anyway, it’s fixable. After some more thought, I think the easiest fix might be to allow her glide to be automatic and toggleable. Ie, after flight expires, she automatically starts gliding, which you can cancel/re-activate by clicking (not holding) jump. All as optional settings, of course. (And Mercy should get the same toggle option for her slow fall.)

Seems easier than removing one of her abilities or changing how flight’s cooldown works to bind glide to the same button.
