Echo left click barking sound

There are a few sounds in this game that drive me nuts and I wish they could be fixed. One is echo’s left click. Each shot has a randomly selected sound, basically, there are a ton of different sounds here, very similar, to add variety, so it’s random. But some of those sounds have an additional sound that’s like a dog barking in the background. So when I play Echo it’s like having a neighbor with a really obnoxious dog.

Roadhog’s “want some candy” voiceline has a horn sound at the end of it that obviously is not intended, and is annoying. Please fix.

and Blizzard World is torture. There are so many sound effects from all the rides. And each section of the maps plays music. Sometimes you’ll be listening to multiple songs at the same time. Even before the round starts it’s already way too much noise. Could you please fix? Thank you.

I don’t think they’re gonna touch something so minor that affects like maybe 3 people

Man I feel you.

I hate the way Ana’s gun sounds in ow2. Its so bad I may entirely stop playing her because of sensory issues.

I won’t be able to play OW2 as-is because its just sensory hell with all the new effects. It boggles my mind that this is the same company that made WoW, a game where you can customise the entirety of the UI and has a lot more accessibility features when it comes to effects.

Feels like a kick in the teeth tbh. I’d love to play but I just can’t.

Ironic, Blizz are happy saying a character is autistic for the sake of brownie points, and then make the game really inaccessible to real autistic people. It’s like having disabled facilities at the top of a flight of steep stairs.

You cannot compare WoW and OW as one is a PVE game, one is a PVP game. Mods to give benefits would distort the game and create abuses.

That being said OW2 sound is better after beta 2, but still not as good as OW1. I think it’s still being tweaked quite honestly.

You can keep the vanilla UI and disable stuff like screen flash for low HP. You can customise how ‘full on’ the spell particle effects are. I really wish OW had stuff like that, which has nothing to do with mods.

The new effects (e.g. getting healed by Mercy) are just dreadful. And the UI shaking upon impacts like jumping/falling is nauseating. It’s really sad that I’ll have to totally give up the game if they don’t address this.

I mean have you tweaked the settings? Again, no mods are going to be allowed, I assure you that. Shaking is a setting btw.

I agree with the other one sounds but this? Have you ever been in an attraction park?

I couldn’t find the OW2 setting for the UI shake during the beta, I’m hoping at least that would be something you can do. But really the particle and lighting effects need addressing. I’d kill for a ‘legacy/OW1 style UI and effects’ option.

This isn’t about mods, I understand mods would be a can ‘o’ worms (especially for people making cheats.) But having options and sliders would be such a godsend.

I saw it referenced in a release note of some kind, I am not sure though where it was hidden because I tried to find it briefly but gave up. It’s possible it wasn’t turned on yet in the beta.
