Echo is the hardest OW Hero

Now, you might disagree, but this is just coming from me, a tracer main, who’s been learning echo.

I don’t know if my perspective is just skewed because I don’t really play many projectile heroes, but man echo is difficult to play. After 21 hours of playing her in QP and hours of watching guides/echo players, I’m sitting at a 36% winrate. 79 losses, and 44 wins.

Now, it might just be because I’ve had so many hours on tracer, but echo feels harder to play than even her. Projectile attacks, large hitbox, very loud, and an ultimate that requires knowledge/mechanics of other heroes.

Idk, would you agree or disagree?

Yes that is true because she includes all the characters

Echo is a pretty hard hero, yes, but not the hardest. Echo is pretty forgiving outside of her hitbox, so you have room for mistakes. If you take someone like Sym, for example, you don’t have a lot of room for mistakes (not saying Sym is the hardest though).

Her ult is difficult to master, as you have to be good at multiple heroes.

Yeah, all her abilities are inconsistent, so it’s kinda hard to use her

I mean I personally don’t really agree with her being the hardest hero. She definitely has a high skill ceiling though.

Biggest problem is the hitbox - you basically can’t be missed and if it’s a shotgun-type (D.Va, Hog, Reaper, etc.) so many pellets are going to hit you.

Echo’s loud? Also I always felt like her kit was quite cheesy and predictable to use because it kinda works as a combo. Her hitbox is atrocious, though.

Symmetra’s a low floor, low ceiling. Not much can be done once you learn her tricks (both for and against her)

Echo, I believe has no ceiling so to speak as her effectiveness depends on the player’s hero diversity. If you are a OTP, you won’t get much value. If you can play any hero, any class; you have so many possibilities

You need a lot of “trade off” thinking with her. Fly in to engage or use it as an escape tool?
Combo your abilities or rather go for final blows?
Spend time in the air or rather on the ground?
Especially: who to duplicate? Who if my team has ult to combo with which duplicate? Do the enemies have ults to conter or deny my ult? Will I be able to build up my ult as a duplication?

Sometimes duplicating Mercy just to rez the right ally can turn the tables for a match.

You need a lot if game sense. I guess that’s what makes her quite difficult yeah.
