Funny how I’ve been bringing this up constantly on the forums and players are just like “mUh SkIlL cEiLiNg AnD hItScAn”.
Try playing tank in a lobby with Echo…
Absolutely miserable.
The zero damage falloff is overtuned, Sticky+Beam Combo is overtuned, and her Ult is the most BS thing since Brig 1.0.

What on Earth? Echo is one of the most hated DPS in high elos because of how strong her kit is, especially duplicate.
just play widow 5head
Against an Echo player who climbed high enough to learn how to play into good Widows and is likely a good Widow themselves when they use Duplicate. OK den.

Honestly I think if they reduced her ammo to 10 or 8 she’d be fine. She has too much spam damage uptime for the amount of burst there is in her kit. Other burst heroes have tradeoffs. Doom has minimal range and needs to be in your face to do damage with audio and visual cues for everything and huge downtime. Genji’s combo requires his escape cooldown and distance closing and has minor poke.
Either that or give her a little wider spread so she’s forced to play a little closer
Small tuning nerfs are necessary; she’s not overly busted or anything

Exactly - if played well and boosted, she is a bit OP… but alone she’s middle of the pack for picks, but her win rate is barely exceeded by… Doomfist… by about 1.2%… in GM with identical pickrates… she and he are actually a lot alike…
That all being said, tank busters, namely Reaper/Hanzo/Echo are getting nerfed accordingly in OW 2 with 1 tank…

I watch various GM tank streamers and every one of them complains echo is broken - probably more than they complain about any other DPS. I’d say they do use teamwork and they still find her broken when playing tank.
Forums won’t understand Echo hate because she’s pretty mediocre in the hands of a plat/diamond 
She most definitely is overtuned for a good player though. Literally everytime I have a game with an Echo, several people flame them the entire game because she’s broken and a cheesy character lmao
I don’t see any other hero get as much hate in-game… think that speaks for itself

Echo is in the strange category where her kit is megabusted, but she is kept in line by overpowered hitscan heroes. The second they get the nerfs they need, she will be quite the problem. Like, I play her too, its not like I want her to be bad. That focus beam is what really snaps her kit.
Ideally, we nerf
Soldier
Cree
Hanzo
Echo
Tracer
and Mercy secondary with compensation buffs.
Then I think the game would be in a good spot. Maybe some universal mobilty nerfs too.
If healing is still too high, then bap and ana nerfs.
We have been letting these handful of heroes (out of 36 heroes) really destroy balance.
