Legit if you do not like it, do not play the game. I think she’s cool regardless.

I’m not going to quit the game, bit I am disappointed that supports won’t get to enjoy this type of kit.
The fact that changing the sticky bombs to healing would’ve made her a Zen-style off support is what stings the most.

I just think overall these people are ungrateful. They’re FINALLY adding SOMETHING new to the game. Enjoy it and move on.

I rarely complain, you can check my post history and see for yourself. And I’m not still playing the game because playing the same 7 supports is pretty boring and stale now.

Stale? The game has been the same pretty much for 3 years. Adding new heroes only makes the hype last so long.
That’s your opinion, I can keep interest in this game for a lot longer with a new support hero to play and learn.

Echo may be cool. But her kit is perfect to make both tanks and support a hell of an experience. As if flankers and snipers weren’t enough.
I’m still happy Echo is on the game, and she looks super fun (I play every role a little), I’m just saying adding a DPS when the queue times are already so bad is questionable.
Can’t be excited for a new hero making the game feel fresh if you can’t play her yourself xD

So the problem with this is, just because some people find a few things to be heavily against best interest in the game’s health… doesn’t mean they should give up something they love as a whole, or something they see great potential in.
This sort of advice is dumb af afaic, and isn’t any less ignorant sounding than what you’re posting against.

It wouldn’t make sense as a support kit. Imagine if you changed her damaging abilities to heal. What would that gameplay actually be like?
Really boring because as a support, you’d be in your backline to heal your team, you wouldn’t be able to use the mobility and overall kit in the same exciting way that a dps role allows her to.
Just an unkillable heal bot really.

If I were you I’d be more worried about how many people follow this rule because in case you haven’t noticed overwatch playerbase keeps dwindling. Bleeding players faster is a loss for all of us

At this point I kinda hope they just get rid of role queue entirely, at least in quick play. If they want to still make DPS heroes every once in a while, the queue times will always be miserable.
Like, imagine if she had been a support with a similar kit? Lower her damage slightly, make sticky bombs heal and be controllable with individual shots and a mass detonate on Interact, and boom you have a really really fun Zen style off support even DPS players could enjoy.
