Easiest tank to rank up?

Title. I used to be diamond with Hammond, but its so badly nerfed now. I cant seem to get over 2000SR with any tank.

Hardest currently feels to be Rein, that needs so much healing support that its not viable to play in low SR games.

I usually have all gold or silver medals each game and I think my positioning is correct. 30% aim and 60% hook AVG as a roadhog.

I have highest win % with Sigma thats around 60%. But when I get around 2000-2500 It seems I cant get wins as Sigma.

So what would be the easiest tank currently to rank up? The game feels much harder now that everyone has quit and the players that are left have more experiance.

The answer will be different depending on the player. I myself would be happy to play Winston or Rein even if my team isn’t providing enough back-up. Conversely, I wouldn’t really want to play Orisa or Dva even if my team is able to play around me, as I don’t feel like I’d get the best out of these heroes.

Generally though, the best/easiest tank to rank up with would be Hog. He thrives in chaotic environments where the enemy team isn’t co-ordinating properly. Most low/mid rank, solo-queue lobbies have a difficult time of shutting one down.

Yeah, below gold it feels very easy to play hog, but after that people start to focus him with reaper and all that so flanking becomes impossible.

This should be enough to climb through metal ranks.

I don’t know how to say it nicely… But it isn’t the tank, it is you.

If you were good enough you’d be climbing no matter what tank you play.

I’m asking whats the easiest tank to rank up. Not how good I am playing them.

I mean he is meant to be Baby’s First Tank and not a character that should thrive higher up.

To the OP - there are so few tanks still in part as you said it comes down to the player. All can be played up, but if you can’t adjust your play on the kit as you climb, that’s the core issue. I think everyone finds certain kits easier to work with, and I don’t mean cheesing it on Moira or being Lucio one-trick. Find the kits that you do well with that also have high skill ceilings, then focus on those.

Again. The tank isn’t the worry. If you don’t improve you’ll just drop again.

No tank will give you an insane advantage.

If you had the skill to get to diamond, you wouldn’t be 1500 on DPS for a start.

Zarya. Just time your bubbles right and you do more than enough damage to solo climb yourself.

No tank is easy to play. If you want brain dead ways to rank up, look at the DPS category.
