With queue times getting crazy in the upper ranks, maybe the match maker should dynamically decide to allow other formats? eg 1-4-1 with 4 dps both sides?
It’s not exactly the point of 2-2-2 but at least people can get a game in a semi-balanced way.

The difference is it’d choose a format like that as a last resort, to help prevent 30 minute queues. Not as a set mode. Watching Twitch streamers has been sad as they basically can’t play the game anymore.
I think a less fun format, is better than people not playing at all.
Maybe it could be an opt-in thing.
EDIT: Actually that wouldn’t work. Nobody queuing for tank or support would opt in so the DPS players who did still wouldn’t find a match.
