I have a theory that D.va’s real intention of why she made that her name is because since she’s a video game champion and all that, she wants to include her name in as many ways as possible, so she made hers 3 letters so she could put her name into those 90’s arcade video games high score screens that only Allow 3 letters. I’m sorry if this has been stated, but I was just thinking about this the other day and wanted to share my thought with you guys.
I thought it was because of like arcade high score screens or something like that.
that’s what I mean when I say that. the arcade games from the 90’s and 80’s. I’ll edit the post to be more clear.
and she has the high score on all the arcade machines in hanamura
It’s a guild handle thing, same reason D.Mon (her guildmate, also in MEKA) is written that way.
“Wait… used to? Where did they all go!?”
that’s right. She has a voice line where she says “nobody’s going to beat my high scores” on the attacking spawn.
But she doesn’t have the high score on Murkys basketball on Blizzard world. Sombra does (even though she cheated).
Isn’t that a reference to the voice line exchange between Sombra and D.Va when she says “I can’t stand you hackers, you give those of us with skill a bad name!” the Sombra replies “You know that’s not the kind of hacking I do right?”.
I dont want to make a thread for this, but I think Torb’s children’s corpses are in his turrets-
Oh, I thought you were saying the character limit on really old console games
