The changes are not up. Maybe Thursday, but most likely next Tuesday along with the winter event. That is assuming that they were not scrapped altogether.

When “How do you get DPS players to play Tank instead” has been something I’ve been mostly focused on for about a year?

Enjoy. In 2 weeks not only will they probably remove the buffs but also nerf him making him worse than he was prebuff.
Then they will overbuff some of his dps counters on top of it. This is the way.

But we got DPS Rein coming up, with a “Play Tank to earn faster DPS queues” system coming out almost at the same time.

I agree with this prediction. It is why I have always said Blizzard should leave Reinhardt alone.

Making main tanks more like off tanks and giving tank players more hero choice would help a lot
For over 3 years OW was my go to game. Not anymore but of course I know the OW cycle lol. I’ll enjoy them while they last then back to GTA, Friday and Red Dead

I don’t really get this meme that Rein is a DPS.
You can’t stand in melee range of the other six tanks, and hope to beat the 1v1.
By this standard, only prebuff Rein and Winston are “Tanks.”
Maybe that’s what they want. And not so much “OffTank”, but “Heavies” from the Class Based Shooter genre.
Clearly the vast majority of the players are DPS. And more than half the Tank players like playing like DPS.
And Zen, Bap, and Ana play a lot like DPS.
Maybe appealing to the playerbase they have, is better than trying to appeal to a playerbase that doesn’t exist?
Personally, on the MOBA to FPS scale between LoL and Valorant.
I see Overwatch fitting somewhere between Paladins and Apex Legends. Heading in the Apex direction.

In the back of my mind I know that this portion of the player base used to exists, and doesn’t anymore because of the changes Blizzard has made from the beginning of contenders GOATS, to the introduction of Sigma.
It bothers me a touch.
