D.Va redesign is a blessing

My favorite skin for her is Nano Cola and has been since it came out for 2 reasons: the ponytail is adorable, and vibrant colors make the mech look good

And the new design has both of those just with classic D.Va colors? Erm, yes please

I am so jealous of Sym and Dva and WIdow getting nice redesigns where they dont chop off all their hair like my main…

Love D.Vas new ponytail skin redesign along with her new voicelines.

Meanwhile, Mercy got robbed of her iconic ponytail in favor of karen cut and her new voiceline made her more annoying :sob:

Agree. Im converting from Mercy main to D.Va main now because of these.

Still haven’t forgiven Blizzard for removing Brigitte’s hair flappies I feel you man

That was a literal travesty. Removed her cool and identifiable hair flappies and crown piece and replaced it with a boring pony tail with an ugly hairline?

The OW artists need to learn that different =/= better

It’s so weird bc I either absolutely LOVE a redesign or hate it there is no in between

Some of these are just… Uh, choices I wouldn’t have made lol

Same…sometimes I think the OW team would maybe benefit from having more female artists on the team, idk lol

I like the D.Va redesign a lot. I hope they make a 2.0 statue of her that I can put next to my current statue.

That’s a big gripe for me as well. It’s a really huge part of her look, I would have treated it as bedrock for any kind of redesign.

Gotta be honest, the redesigns have been mostly underwhelming/disappointing for me… But thankfully all of the old Skins carry over, so it’s not a problem.

I’m particularly disappointed with Symmetra’s new look because it appears they made her less curvaceous and more petite. Symmetra’s hips in particular are sort of visually unique to her, so her redesign’s seemingly scaled down hips are just disappointing to me. Which is a shame because the outfit she’s wearing looks great.

Hopefully it’s just the shot they used in the trailer being misleading.

Now all we need are buffs that make her actually able to solo tank.

As somebody who mains both Dva and Brig, it’s like “One win. One loss.” The locks she had running down the sides of her face, I considered to be a really defining trait of the character and lent to that sort of “norse” look.

But they’ve gone with other hair styles for other skins. Just hoping they go back to what works for her, hair wise. Maybe if I look at it for a while It’ll grow on me and I’ll like it. I don’t just think it’s that I don’t like change though, the dva pony tail is a change and I think it looks good.

D.Va getting a ponytail didn’t come at the cost of her bangs and headset lmao

It feels about as unsettling and wrong as that idk why they thought Brig’s redesign would be well received

Yeah I think that’s probably a big part of it.

I like 98% of the redesigns so far I think. The only 2 I heavily dislike are Sigmas and Moiras. I feel like they’re absolutely just the worst of them all sadly.

Everyone else’s looks great or fine for the most part.

Also, I think we haven’t seen any glimpses of Junkrats still and he is the only hero left where we’ve seen nothing of him other than the riptire itself which almost doesn’t count lol.

As someone who owns pink mercy - IDK what skin they give her, I will only ever use Pink.

However, I dislike most of the skins. I think it’s foolish that these skins all have the same primary colors. It just makes it harder to stand out as looking like a new game. No one who casually plays overwatch notices tracer’s got a new skin for overwatch too, because it’s still orange. imagine if it were a different color.

D. Va is a bit more obvious. Widow Maker and Reaper are less obvious There’s no reason for these characters to all have the same colors like that when no one is going to use those skins in the actual game anyway. So make them stand out more. We’re only gonna see them that way in the advertisements and pre-renders for the most part anyway.

I have 1400 hours on overwatch… didn’t even notice zen and soldier were in their new skins in the trailer. Just… unimaginative redesigns. And the characters that did get new colors, (Pharah, D.Va, etc.) Their primary color got changed to white. It just seems lazy Dva even has a hexagonal pattern on her mech. Why can’t the hexagons have an outline color?

Overall, I’m not amused.
