Good patch so for. Honestly good changes.
You forgot dva… look it’s incredibly unfun to have to swap to a hero that can interact favorably with defense matrix.
My suggestion
The hero in ow2 has been the best defense “peel” tank. No other tank is better at peeling their own backline. So she was good with greedy comps.(Ana/zen/widow backlines = greedy)
Then…. You Buffed her damage. Bc holding defense matrix for your team doesn’t help you carry.
Now she possess the ability to play aggressive which allows her to hold more space from her “threat” but completely fixes the downside to going dva.
So to adapt people were playing heros like illari, echo, Mei, zarya, rein… ect. Just to play the game. Some were nerfed for performing well in a dva meta….
Anyway the hero still had just as much aggression and just as much peel. Nerfing her armor just makes the counter swap hero’s better.
Consider nerfing defense matrix and simultaneously buffing it.
Nerf its duration by a lot and maybe let people tap it whenever. Maybe even while firing.
Would be a cool mechanic to successfully time eating casses shot at the perfect cadence…
While simultaneously being able to play cass if the dva is not doing that.
As it stands now she just sites there and holds down dm until you counter swap.
And if you don’t want to nerf her. Please buff illari and echo so there’s a fps heros available in both roles. Or let soj rail ignore DM. Thanks
