There’s a bug since the OWL skins comeback on september that affected D.Va’s matrix visuals when you block an ultimate. They are gone!! no sound and no animation. It still appears on the killfeed an she says D.Nied…
I can’t be the only one who noticed but never read about it.

It was fun cancelled ults showing up on the feed, specially multi deadeye ones.
Ate two Zarya gravs and a Mei ult yesterday in the same match and noticed the green flash is gone.
Zarya’s was nearly impossible to tell if not for the voiceline.
Remember when Mccringe’s flash bang had the green flash when you’d eat it too? I miss that. Helps with feedback but guess we can’t even have that anymore lol
That just makes me sad.
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if one of the devs took notice of the visual effects clutter complaints topics that emerge from time to time and used that as an excuse to nerf the flash effect from D.Va’s Defense Matrix, then put their feet up and called it a day while crossing off another item in their lengthy To Do list.
In my past experience, when you’re on an epic ult eating marathon like that, all the feedback you need will be coming from the sudden increase in angry and confused messages scrolling by in the chat feed from your baby raging enemies along with a few impressed oohs and ahhs from your teammates over voice chat anyway.

There is no shame when it comes to dealing with hog.
If you check this video, at 6:55 (and with every other ultimate) You’ll see Top right Genji has D.Va’s flash animation when he deflects ultimates, so this might be a bug then and I don’t feel like they are fixing it 
It’s bugs like this that are actually problematic as functionally nothing is changed but the visuals are pretty important for proper feedback. Need to be fixed for sure. This is all to say I don’t expect a fix until the engine upgrade most likely.
Sometimes I can’t even play the game because too many flashing colors are on screen and I can’t even see/focus. Common causes are Hanzo ult, moira ult, and Winston primary.
Just wanted to remind this isn’t fixed still and it’s been 5 months now since it was gone

I love to act unbothered when there’s a Zarya with grav around and I suddenly 180 to block it. I once ate 4 Zarya gravs in a game from the same person and they got mad 
One time I ate a Zarya grav three times in a row while playing defense on Watchpoint: Gibraltar. There was neither a prior nor a fourth grav that had escaped me. First time, I got “???” from her. Second time, I was called out over it and told to cut it out. Third time I ate her ult, she just stood there and crouch spammed the last ten seconds away before the match ended without her team capturing any of the checkpoints. This exchange all happened on the cart at the dip below, before the first choke point. Admittedly, when I look back on the experience, it was such a sad sight to see and a total disgrace to all you Russian weightlifter mains.
