She’s an annoying, 19 year old girl that’s obsessed with gaming. So why are so many of her mains low voiced men that sound in their 20s-30s? Why does that hero attract those types of people? You’d think the pink bunny mech would be a turn off

I mean, I’m not a main (anymore) but I always just enjoyed her play style. I agree that she can be pretty damn annoying, but I play the game to play, not pretend I’m my own waifu.

Sometimes it is just gameplay preference. One of my friends plays D.Va as one of his top 3, and he absolutely despises everything about the character’s personality. :smiley:

From my own personal experience, D Va mains are mostly girls after hearing them on the mic. I suppose it varies depending on the sr and region.

Because she’s the most fun tank for most people and the game kinda has a lot of male players in their 20s-30s? And not all guys get insecure over pink or bunnies.

Of course, there’s some of the weird “mai waifu” types too but those show up on Widow and Mercy too.

So what does that mean then? Reinhardt mains aren’t allowed to play Reinhardt because he’s a 60 year old man? I am nowhere near 60 years old, yet I like playing Reinhardt. I’m also not a DJ and I like playing Lucio. I’m also not morbidly obese and I like playing Roadhog. Etc.

She’s a “fat dps” (like fat scout from tf2). Tanky, mobile, and does good dps.

She also has very spammable voicelines

Maybe it’s because she’s fun to play.

Or at least she was. At least for me.

I no longer play her at all, but I didn’t pick her up because of her personality, nor would I drop a fun character because they’re annoying.

…because it’s just a game and D.Va is fun!
I couldn’t care less what strangers whom I’ve never met think of me otherwise.
