No, she was oppressive with 3 second boostersā¦
There are 2 types of Overwatch players :
Those that know that DāVa is perfect no matter how many buffs or nerfs she gets and those that donāt.

you are right about the balance team being trash. I dont even know what they are doing when they are talking about these ābalance changesā.
this is what my balanced d.va would be though.
defense matrix brought up to 4 seconds but also now has a 4 second cooldown and the regeneration would be slowed.
300 health with 300 armour.
and maybe make the bossters last 3 seconds.
or another idea for the defense matrix is that it still eats up bullets but for lasers, it actually deflects them! granted, it would have a slowed regeneration as well as a 3 second cooldown.

DVa is far from trash in the right hands.
She is weaker than in the past but still workable with good healers.
Also give her Meka Crouch!
This just makes the gap between burst and sustain more painful. Itās not an accident that Dva is being deliberately kept in her current state- she amplifies existing balance problems really easily. Not that I agree with the devās take but still.

D.Va is also one of the reasons some metaās were stable. She kept them in check.

Would people be open to buffing her DM if it didnāt eat ults?
On an even more unrelated note, I love killing her mech in the training area just to watch her demech and leap backwards to her death.
Well she WAS good on ladder for a little while after that 3 second booster buff and the shield nerfs. Donāt know what the hell happened. There was a bunch of whining about Dvaās dive/escape capabilities being too powerful and they nerfed her. But surely one second wasnāt enough on its own to make her worse.

She was good on ladder for 2 weeks before they nerfed it by 1 second which changed her from being great to being bad again.

Thatās one of the biggest problems, and why so many things were added to bypass DM, as it was way too good at entrenching metas.

DM was the most oppressive ability in the game once upon a time - thatās why itās been nerfed and adjusted so much.
Unfortunately we ended up with double shield later, which is also oppressive and why the shields are causing such problems now.

Okay, emongg is a great D.Va player but is forced to swap to sigma, and heās a GM player. Same as poko (a OWL tank player) on stream, he is forced to swap to sigma on stream. D.Va is not ok.

I think just a simple spread reduction would be nice, wouldnāt force me to have to be at face bank range to get at least some value.
