Dva Is Still Grotesquely Overpowered

Nothing does anything to this character.
She feels completely uncounterable. I feel like I’m trying to beat Superman in a fight as an average human being.

She isn’t scared of beams. Infact she’ll dive Zarya and delete her even when she’s full charge. Dva players complain constantly about how beams “delete” Dva, and yet EVERY time I go Zarya into Dva it’s like the Dva is just laughing at me and how pathetic I am, and then crushes me into the ground no matter what I do.

DM lasts for way too long/has too much charge, charges too fast, has instant cast time, can be instantly flashed to eat something like a Mei ult, Illari ult, Zarya ult, etc, and has zero indication when she’s run out of it, making it near impossible to punish her for it.
Almost every time I think she’s actually out of DM and attempt something, she just eats it all.

Her kill speed is WAY too fast. It startles me how quickly she deletes sometimes. I’ll be up on a ledge as Ashe, shoot her and she’ll booster up to me with micro missiles and left click and I’ll die in like 1 second. It’s insane.
It’s happened to me while playing Zarya too. Ran out of bubble and she pressed shift, e and left click and I absolutely melted way faster than I would melt her with a full charge beam. In fact I had a full charge beam at the time and held it on her as soon as she was in range and I still was shredded.

Extra life is incredibly annoying considering how fast she gets mech back. She really only dies after being demeched if she was demeched in a bad position, but most Dvas won’t do that, they’ll rush back to their team if they think they’ll be demeched and then get to pepper you from the safety of their team and get mech back. I’ve had Dvas do this like 6 times in a match and end up with zero actual deaths.
Also annoying is when Mercy rezzes her she instantly gets mech back.

Instakill on Call Mech literally just because the devs thought it would be funny.

I feel like I can’t protect my team against her as tank ever because she can just rush in and delete someone in 1 second and I can’t stop her. It’s infuriating and I feel absolutely useless.

She just has far, far too much going on. Her kill speed is just way too fast and she feels invincible. I’m so absolutely sick and tired of fighting this unkillable monster, and I regularly see Dvas get 0-1 deaths for an entire match.

But they won’t make any change that actually matters because she sells skins.

If this happened then you were most likely out of position and did not have great cooldown usage.

I should not NEED bubble to survive Dva for a single second.

I say up booster CD to 4.5 seconds, change DM CD to 2 seconds, and add reduced self damage to self destruct. 250 for 1-5m, 175 for 5-10, 100 for 10-15, 50 for 15-20, and none past 20m to make using ult for mech more risky. Counterplay is typically mauga and zarya imo, as you have th eammo capacity as mauga to just ignore DM is she wastes it, or to force it out in ways that will limit her to using it selfishly.

Go into training range right now and look how fast she melts a bubbleless Zarya while boosting toward her with left click and micro missiles.

Nobody plays Brig these days. I never see her, and any time I pick her I instantly blow up in every situation. My shield feels like I’m holding up an empty pizza box and my left click feels like I’m wacking them in the head with a pool noodle.

Nah this is simply untrue. Nothing can contest a full charged Zarya

Dva can until about 50% charge then the matchup becomes an uphill battle

I have seen Dvas boost into a full charge Zarya. I’m sure they do it when they think she has no bubble. It literally happened to me recently and she shredded me.
Her TTK with micro missiles+left click is way faster than a full charge Zarya beam.

Anyway, get good at Brig. She takes finesse, so it could take time, but it will pay off. Trust me. You have my word as a Brig main

Winston is worse than D.Va. Much more mobile with a shield to slap down. His gun may not do much damage but boy he can chase you down more than D.Va can to the point where that doesn’t matter. He has more means of defense and escape. If he’s almost dead, he can ult and get all of his HP back and then some.

If you were fighting D.Va as Zarya and lost? You were either:
-Out of position with no support
-Wasting your cooldowns instead of baiting D.Va’s abilities
-She outbaited your bubbles

Zarya isn’t hard to kill in general, tbh… you just need to outsmart her and make her waste her bubbles. Without them, she’s a sitting duck.

But, anyway. Winston is worse than D.Va. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I also hate Winston a lot.
He’s a terror in OQ where he can just leave his team because there’s usually another tank. If you annoy the player, he will make it his job to chase you to the ends of the map, which he can easily do with his absurdly low jump cooldown. If I’m Ashe and he wants me dead suddenly, I’m dead. I can’t do much except sit there and accept it.

According to many DVA forum experts who hold multiple DVA degrees, she is perfectly balanced and high skill. So its more of a you issue then a hero issue. Dva is part of the original Genji/Tracer group of heroes that are never ever ever supposed to be touched for any reason unless its a buff.

Besides illari (and to some extend reaper) i seriously wonder how many of you even saw a d.va eating ults in your games.
Unless you are extremely telegraphing that you’re going to use it it shouldn’t be possible for b.va to eat it.

You know what would have been 10x better than extra life?
Crouch with meka. That’a how useful that passive is.

Huh? Your favorite tank hero, Reinhardt, contests a full charged Zarya. You use your bald head for reflect the light back into their eyes, temporarily blinding them.

But seriously though, that shield lasts forever even at full charge. She is a joke. Play Junkerqueen if you want to Brawl against Rein but are too beta to mirror. That’s my friendly advice. Zarya ain’t it, chief.

Imagine saying this about a hero that’s spent about/over half a decade being scapegoated as the “SOLE ENABLER” of almost every single meta hero/strat in the game.
