DVa is so oppressive to play against

If you don’t play a beam hero she just dives you, makes you unable to shoot and bursts you down. She was manageable up until the point the dev team decided “Okay what if we made tanks into literal gods”
Defense Matrix is the main catalyst of her being just the worst, it has way too much uptime and in a lot of cases disables entire heroes. There’s a reason it was nerfed down to 2 seconds in OW1.
It needs to be nerfed or reworked. Balance is irrelevant when it’s this unfun

Dm hasn’t been an issue for all of overwatch 2, the complaints for Dva are only around now due to their reworking of armor.

Armor itself needs to be changed not Dva

Is it really that hard to switch off? Dva is only a problem if you let her be one. At least she has hard counters.

DM hasn’t been an issue cause DVa hasn’t been an issue for all of OW2, but she’s everywhere now. DM has been an unfun aspect of her in every iteration where she was meta and that hasn’t changed, only been dormant

Guessing when Pecks, Battle Cow, and Porky Pig aren’t the forefront. She finally has gotten to shine instead be a sleeper. In which she isn’t even broken

Well that and the fact she got 3 different damage sources buffed so now she can fly in at mach 80 with 8000 hp and secure a kill faster AND easier than a doom can.

Probably. Armor changes are why people started crying about Reinhardt and Winston as well.

She’s giga busted at high ranks. She’s finally good now for the low-rank people who were playing her wrong by frontlining anyway.

They’re not even hard counters. Dvas aren’t even afraid of beams anymore. I’ll go Zarya and she’ll dive right into me while I’m bubbled, facetank me and then burst me down.

I still strongly believe this is a game format issue, the result of forcing a single player into playing the entire tank role for their team, which thus necessitated the need to buff the tank heroes up to the level of two players of effectiveness in order to retain their relevance, and prevent the already dumbed down gameplay from regressing entirely to “objective-based Team Deathmatch.” The side effect of this radical format change is that once very powerful tank abilities were regulated by needing another tank buddy to cover for a particular tank’s other holes in their kits in multi-tank environments are now either too strong or too weak on their own; simple buffs and nerfs just aren’t enough: many tanks need outright reworks and be homogenized in their gameplay to better fit their solo role in 5v5. The 6v6 multi-tank game design and careful balancing around said abilities were completely tossed out the window without regard for consequences just to label the game as different enough to warrant calling it a sequel on the gameplay front.

It’s been two years since 5v5. Blizzard still can’t get tanks right.

It’s obvious we either need two tank teams back or entire character-destroying overhauls on half the tank roster to make it work.

IMO, just bring back 6v6 2-tank teams already!

Tanks have been busted since ow2 release what irks me is this community cries about only one or two tanks at a time instead of all.

And it’s like a whack a mile Orissa go go go away, now it’s mooga booga ,of you chase him it’s rein , or monkey or dva

The thing is dva could always kill squishies 1v1.

All tanks could.

You just need to play smart currently but overall the uninteractive nature is irritating.
Especially tanks vs tank.

It’s like saying “oh just swap to full dive against season 2 Sojourn she’s only a problem if you let her be”

It’s gotten to the point… if someone tries to defend the state dva is in, you can confidently assume they don’t know what they are talking about.

Like I think it’s safe to say that dva is objectively overtuned. (And no it isn’t just dva either).

I think better rank dvas do this too, cause they are not longer free like in ow1 as off tank.

Like we had a match in numbani me on trace and dva were wiping the enemy team out almost got second point when we started faltering , like me and dva were taking out dva then backline then tank

But just cause the other dps on sym /mei and support got yanked by their tank.

Dva started frontlining, I was still killing pharah but it was a slower process and I was not able to sync it with my team to make it a advantage, by the time i took out two team was respawning.Also they set their moira on me.

Like i made some mistakes too but like we were having a great time but dva got sucked into frontlining.

Thats why its important to play around corners and hoping you have a good support to keep you active enough to melt dva. Dva does need a nerf, I’m not gonna deny that but she does have counters which is enough to deal with her for now. Obviously she still deserves a nerf but hey at least there is a way to still deal with her

This game has become D.Va Watch, this is getting more boring every day now. Either nerf D.Va or fire the devs of this horrible game. Because its insane how much crap they do and still get away with it.

NGL when you said Pecks, i was thinking Roadhog.

DM was definitely an issue before, and I’ve mentioned this a few times myself; but she was manageable with help from beams which is why she was slept on by most players.

Consider that she has all of the following:

  • Armor increase: 2/3 of her health is armor. More than any of the brawl tanks.
  • Health pool increase: Only hog and ball I think has more.
  • Headshot crit reduction: All tanks get this, but her huge hitbox used to be a major weakness. No more.
  • Boop reduction: All tanks get this, but this devalues supports like brig designed to help keep dive tanks away.
  • On top of this, a 3 second defense matrix.

Now the entire team has to work-around DVa or it’s a gg.

Also and technically, Winston and not DVa poses a problem in the highest ranks. But remove Winston and DVa would still be S-Tier in those ranks as well.

Here are all Diva problems why is she OP

  • her CDs are very low, boost only 4sec and it provides also dmg
  • her armor changes made her 725HP almost indestroyable (most HP is armor)
  • her rocket buff and CD and ez to land
  • Baby Diva with tank stats??? WHY???
  • infinite ammo combined with boost or rockets made her higher dps than 3/4 roster
  • Big surprise!! Her spread with bigger critical hitbox changes couple seasons ago made her insanely strong with low TTK. Even if you aim for body shots, it will provide 50%+ CRITICAL HITS!!!
  • DM - There are only 5 beam heroes in game!!! Her DM made 98% of the hero roster in game a nerf darts shooters
  • they changed DM from 3.5 to 3 sec :clown_face:
