I no longer play this game as I been playing Apex Legends the most but I always read the patch notes to see what happens if i ever returned or come back for OW2.
But why in the world did Dva get changed from 50-250 mech damage call in?
Like, who thought of that or why she even needed it. I can already tell that she will get easy kills or team wipes with little effort. Did her ult charge in baby form even increase to compensate this change? I doubt that.
Anyway, it a feels bad for anyone having to deal with a baby dva now. I disagree with that change greatly, but it is what it is.
It is something that shouldn’t have went live though.

Everyone’s going bonkers about it. It’s just going to stop staggering, nothing else.
Of course you’ll see those clips of a D.Va getting a 5k with it on Reddit tho…

If you think that, maybe you should stick to Apex.

I mean, i am sure people/teams will TP a baby dva and she just straights up calls in a mech lol.
Nano baby dva and i bet it hits hard. Orisa ult or Mercy damage boost. I am sure these things work.
Aaaand the reddit d.va was born.

It’s to stop easily staggering D.Va and to give her something scary to make you respect her immediate space (something all Tanks should have in any form). It also buffs her Ult which is cumbersome despite being useful, so she gets a 2nd Ult in her 2nd form. Finally utilizing an aspect of her 2nd life to make it all worth it somehow, yay!
Anyway~ It takes about 1 second for it to slam down. It also has tell-tale queues both visually and audibly. Sym’s Teleport takes longer to setup and is audible/visble. So it takes a really bad player to get wrecked by it. It’ll also be hilarious, which is always a bonus for all players except maybe the one who’s crushed lmao.

She’s a 150 health hero with no abilities or mobility of any kind. She has to stand on top of you for 1 seconds to channel her ultimate for the damage to hit. Literally just walk away from her, cc her, or kill her. The only way for her to get multi-kills is with grav, which is risky and also means you have to run Zarya/D.Va which is awful.
It’s not going to ruin the game.

It’s not really bad at all, OP.
i actually think the easiest way to play dva right now is zarya dva but that’s a very controversial opinion and it relies on the dva being very good and the two alternating bodyblocking while bubbled for the team. dva goes from high ground to in front of her team and back again anyways, so this can work if both are good.
either way though, the buff was necessary and will not destroy the game
Did you consider how small the range on it is and how D.va has no way to setup kills without people letting her do it?

Yes she can setup, and its easy. She has a little hit box, shes fast moving, and the range is not quite low for a free one shot kill.
you seriously think that will happen occasionally? rein probably has the most random rng ability in the game… that being charge
She couldn’t even do that on the April fools patch

You’re telling wrong lmao
She’s just feeding because it’s like a 2.5m radius that requieres like a second cast time
How bad do u have to be to complain about a character with 0 abilities, lowest HP, and a stunable ultimate?

Coincidentally, I just pulled this through with my friend. He grav’d 3 people and I call upon o great Mech upon them, Big Boss Metal Gear Solid V style
I personally think this is one of the best buffs they’ve done in awhile and hope it stays in.
It is actually very rare to get a kill with it. Its range is so small and most heroes would not go into your face anyway.
I’ve only really seen this kill a Reaper or a McCree tempting fate.
If the enemy team lets a 150 hp hero with no abilities run into their midst, and refuses to kill her before before a Giant meka slams down and kills them all - and they’re grouped up that tight…
Then yes, they deserve to die. I don’t even think bronze players with less than 50 SR are that bad.
