As for sights question,
You can make up so many reasons but the one I’ll stick with: He has a scouter like system which can be assumed does the targeting for him.
Its actually really interesting that Overwatch went the route of no ammo, very good hipfire spread regardless of motion, and completing removing the ADS in most other games. Its very refreshing. I see no reason really to do that as the scope fire is pretty unique rather than being a thing all weapons get.
It makes the ability to fine tune weapons possible by restricting too many universal things given or handed out en masse.
I don’t think he should have the ability to aim down sights, it would encourage low rank baps to hard scope and they would die even more then they already do
I’m pretty sure that iron sight is meant for grenade launchers rather than rifles. In a game like OW a ladder or leaf iron sight would not be very helpful.
Basically you would be looking through something like this:
very simple. It is there for aesthetics and he doesn’t use it because of design choice.
Not having it also means character like ashe are more unique, because lets face it, that is her only niche.
I hope not. If they’re going to replace Immortality they better keep the lamp but give it a different effect, It’s one of the more interesting parts of his kit imo.
The thing is that is a non-canon skin, which often takes creative liberties. Even then things like Roadhog’s scrap gun on his militia skin looks like an assault rifle, and that is a canon skin.
On the other hand concept art for the talon skin’s iron sights do show it using ladder sights:
As well as for his normal weapon, it shows ladders on it too:
Also in regards to the images you’ve shown, it can be a holographic leaf sight. Just because it is a holographic sight does not mean it always has a red dot. As holographic sights come in different forms. Ladder sights are often metal because its cheaper and it gets the job done, but hey this is the future.
I’ll admit a holographic ladder sight is overkill.
The only other character I think could use the alternate firing is Soldier, with his hipfire being his old spread and ADS being the current kind. But he has the same problem as Baptiste where M2 is already bound.
He’s supposed to be like a bridge between OW and traditional shooters, but hipfire vs more stable ADS is a staple of those games
For Baptiste, it would interrupt his flow too much and probably make too many Baptistes too prone to tunnelvisioning DPS even more than they already do.
