Putting the finishing touches on my Ch 1 (rough draft at least) The little bit of outlining I did beforehand seems to have helped. I’m up to a little over 2000 words.
I want to skip over Ch. 2 for now, and start outlining the chapter (4,5?) where I get to introduce our heroine’s love interest. That should be fun! 
Since I already have a chapter, more or less, outlining another should become easier since I already have a working model. My flow of ideas so far seems to be backstory/politics (I actually find the politics here interesting, else I wouldn’t be writing) character introduction/their backstory, character interactions/conversations, and so on. 
No real action scenes yet, but a lot of world building, exciting for a story set in the mid/late 1700s. 
If you wonder why I write these posts, it’s to let y’all know what I’m up to when I’m not clicking heads.
Today’s my first day of PTO and I plan on getting a lot done.
