'Dragons' keeps being the best OW cinematic imo

It can account for itself a lot:

  • It’s about the origin story of multiple characters.
  • Interaction of 2 main characters.
  • Strong feelings behind it.
  • A glimpse on what is about to come in the future.
  • A rather epic (and surely scenic) fight.

The ending is also a huge reason form me wanting to know more about Hanzo (and Genji too, but since OW is coming back we can easily guess he’s coming back too) because of how disconnected from the OW universe he is right now and the potential of having a renewed Shimada sustaining either Talon or OW or even playing as a third party.

Hanzo no longer has scattuh and Genji can’t deflect Dragon Strike after the dragons spawn, literally unwatchable.

Honor and Glory will forever be my favorite.

  • Telling the story of how Reinhardt joined Overwatch.
  • The lore behind Eichenwalde.
  • Showing the point of Reinhardt’s life where he decided he would be his team’s shield.
  • The motivation he needed to get to that point is all the more tear-jerking.

I probably would agree with you… But now that Honor and Glory has come out, I’m simply going to have to say that Dragons is, at best, in a number 2 spot.

Roadhog and Junkrat’s Junkertown cinematic is hands-down the best by a looooong shot.

I think that The last Bastion is the best short overall

Honor and glory or Dragons are better Overwatch shorts, but the last Bastion is a masterwork piece

Honor and glory had a similar moment with the overwatch medallion, but this photogram is cleaner.

Honor and Glory is the best. It contains an army of Reinhardts led by Mustachehardt feat. Prince Charming vs an army of Decepticons that turn into machine guns and TANKS. Nothing can top it.

What it really comes down to is people just arent able to understand and then appreciate the artistic value of junkrat’s cinematic. It just goes over their heads, they have no artistic sense.
