I would love to see them switch tbh, why would they cry when someone switch? isn’t it a good thing?

If we accept counterswapping, we are accepting the mediocrity that is 5v5.

In 6v6, we could play mostly whatever we wanted. If even players in Silver-Plat are demanding swaps, then there is clearly something wrong.

didn’t remember less swaps in ow1.

okay tank wasn’t such a huge Problem if uncontested.

yeah tank is awful in terms of swaps in 5v5

Why the hell would I care if you switch? Go right ahead buddy, or keep playing your Cassidy. Like, seriously, nobody cares. I promise.

:muscle::sweat_smile:

Hanzo and tracer can kill everything in the game so nope not switching.

Not even the mythical forum widow stands a chance against the elder shimmada.

Come now, let’s not act like you wouldn’t complain about a sombra or Mei switch when playing Hammond.

I do not complain about it. At least not anymore. Okay, like, here is the thing… I was not good enough at Ball to outplay Sombra pre-buffering hack on my engage. I was forced to switch to Doomfist instead just because I am better at him. That would make me a bit frustrated if I felt like playing Ball. However, after the rework, I can now safely play Ball into Sombra.

I guess I still vaguely roll my eyes when she is chasing me like a lost puppy and solo EMPs me. But “complain” is a strong word. Maybe I am delusional and totally complain about it, but you have to give me a pass. I am the AKJ of Sombra. I wouldn’t say that completely invalidates the idea that I do not care about my DPS players or theirs. Because I don’t.

I just played a match where I was Widowmaker (doing poorly) and the Support said “Widow please switch”. So i did, to Venture. Did a lot better. The Support actually thanked me. That was a nice suprize!

A real “thank you”? Not one of those nasty sarcastic ones? I am totes jealous.

Nah we actually do not care, as long as their k:d is positive a DPS player can play free from all blame and responsibility.

They have the largest pool of characters and the least responsibility to keeping the rest of the comp afloat via specific forms of utility. I’d almost argue that switching is one of the largest strengths and an unspoken duty of a DPS.

A lot of problems evaporate when you bring a full hand of DPS heroes to jump between that smooth out some matchups.

Why would you complain about a mei switch?
Hammond dives with tracer and a mobile supp, mei snipes with an ana from the back and keeps her safe from enemy flankers.

That would work in metal ranks at least no problem.

I will happily switch my dps, but each time I dare to try something there is a widow hs my skull. fun.

I only try to play widow too as is her only counter but sadly can’t play her.

“Switch!!!”

-runs down mid alone for 15th time and dies

“SWITCH OR I REPORTTTT”

-blows CDs, wastes ult on lost/won teamfight, and misses critical shots, while LOSing heals

Match chat “gg they wont switch”

It always amuses when the enemy dps swap to counter me tanking, then my dps teammates ask me to switch while they stay on their ineffectual hero choice.

Like bruh. You first. I’m getting my value and forced a swap, not my fault youre asking someone to do something youre not willing to do yourself.

So many of my matches are lost due to the team lacking heroes with point presense.

There’s moira and brig on supp who can try to be point presense, but that doesn’t help if there are 2 snipers who are allergic to the objective.

A brawlier dps on the point/harassing the enemy with a tank draws a bit of pressure from the tank, and the two can take advantage of the disorganised enemy.
A brig or moira alone with a tank can’t keep the point and deny progress to the enemy team.

One more reason why 6v6 felt better.
You could have 2 tanks on the point while 2 snipers worked.
These days it means 1v4 on the point with running two long range heroes.

There needs to be pressure on the point or the enemy team just walks in. In this case, venture was that pressure.
Disruption, burst damage and self sustain through shields. A good choise.

Takes pressure from the team and is still a threat.

Thank you for swapping.
I’m usually scared of asking my teammates to swap, because i don’t want to be reported for it. (Sadly, usually it is one of the dps that needs to swap after i’ve personally gone through all my options and found none working)

So many spawn camps could be broken with a dmg boosted bastion, teleporting behind the enemy with sym, sombra back capping or just swapping to something that can get out of spawn in the first place.
Now if only more of my teammayes swapped…

This is completely untrue

A tank like doomfist is rarely invulnerable outside ult.

But venture when do I shoot this earth creature

It’s digging digging drilling digging.

As though one raid boss tank wasn’t enough they had to go and make all these mini tanks.

On top of this morons complain about one shots with this much sustain in game.
