I have spent 40 mins in the DPS Que as of now. Why? because 2 leavers left within 30 seconds of the game starting. So I waited in line for 20 mins just to be told to wait in the line for 10 more mins. This seems like a relatively easy fix to me…why are dps players who patiently wait not being put back at the top of the Q when somebody throws the game away? what’s worse is that I had to wait 10 more mins adding to a total of 40 mins because I gave me an error message simply saying “error starting game…trying again”…why not put us back at the top of the Q after that too? Frustrating…
Could do one better.
If you get an AFK Leaver in the first 2 minutes, just grab 1 more player and reset the match score/clock.
No need to kick 11 players back into queue.
People wanted role queue… welcome to the consequences…
I agree; much better
Role Q merely exposed an already existing problem.
The differences in role popularity were already known long before Role Queue was announced, but those differences weren’t a problem at the time. Role Queue didn’t so much expose an existing problem as create one from something benign.
But it was never benign. Backfilled matches were almost always a loss for the team that had a leaver. And what’s more, backfillers often left themselves, leading to a string of “Left. Joined. Left. Joined. Left.” messages.
It was never ok to leave a QP match short of a real life emergency.
Ah, maybe I misunderstood the problem you were referring to. Role Queue hasn’t changed the prevalence of quitters (as far as I know), but it has massively increased the amount of time players spend in queue, especially for those queuing to play Damage.
Backfill was significantly less problematic when we could finish the almost-finished match and immediately get into a new one.
