Waited for 20 minutes then it crashes itself. Thanks Blizzard.
Yikes must be annoying.
with time, i believe the queue time is going to increase.
Then find a tank player to queue with, reduces queue time 90 to 75% depending on the time.
Why should we be expected to such nonsense just to get into a game?
In before entitled support main comments “you deserve it for dpsing”
If it ends up queue times are going to increase, i’m just going to quit.
so much time wasted between games. this is reason enough not to have role queue. avg of 8 mins between each game for me adds up fast.
Longer queue times are unfortunate, I trust and hope they will improve as the system settles. But I care for other players same as they care for me.
Every time someone made a topic - and I made one of those myself - about how tank players were vanishing, why we got that “DPS alt” we now played more than the “main account”… The response is “you chose tank, it’s your job, you suffer so your team doesn’t have to”.
Well, so tank players just picked other roles or flat out left, it’s not our job to suffer anymore, I’m just not the tank, simple solution… And then and then and then, people start favouring role queue, as I did and still do, because it does help me personally and I’m having a blast.
Now, I’m somewhat worried about queue times, particularly at the extreme ends of the ladder, but the shoe is on the other foot, you chose DPS, it’s your job, you suffer so your team doesn’t have to.
Yeah, but the only reason why you’re so “appealed” to this role queue idea is because you’re in a lower rank.
Role queue really benefits lower ranks, some higher ranks too, but since higher ranks are such a low amount of people, the queue times are horrendous!
Personally, i’m not a fan of role queue, especially at the beta stage. Everyone is ranked higher then usual, and they don’t know how to dps/heal/tank, because they’re new to the role spot.
Just because somebody picks dps, they shouldn’t get punished for playing it.
And to add salt to injuries, you got hit with a leaver penalty as well.
I wonder whether Blizzard has any way to deal with this after the Beta season ends.
It will likely go down once people quit Overwatch. Most of the people who will quit once role queue hits are us amazing DPS gods.
78% of players are silver, gold or plat, so queue times shouldn’t bother the majority.
Longer queue times are not ideal, but they are needed for role queue. It’s just the reality of the situation.
No one wants to be punished for playing what they wish and role queue enables that.
I am plat, queue times are 10 minutes. I am bothered.
10 minutes sounds like an acceptable time.
Rejoice.
I am actually confused, in what world is that is acceptable? If I have an hour to play, I can either play 2 DPS games or 4 tank/support games. I am playing nearly half as much. Bruh.
Why should we punish 22%?
Longer queue times are not needed for role queue, when it ends up spending 20 minutes for the queue, and then ending up losing that game which takes another 20 minutes. It’s very hard to push now…? It’s not fair.
You are not being punished. There is no code that says “if queueing for DPS then add 20 minutes to queue time.” If everyone is waiting to play DPS and no one is lining up for tanks/support, and the game is coded to not start without tank/support, then no one gets to play until a tank/support shows up.
People demanded Blizzard put in role queue. This is the price of role queue.
Read your last sentence. Now read your first. Now read your last. Read the first again.
We are being punished? I don’t have time to have 60% of my gameplay of playing overwatch to be wasted by the wait times.
You are not being punished. The price of role queue is the most wanted role has the longest wait time. Role queue isn’t specifically targeting the popular role and punishing people for wanting to play it by making them wait longer.
