I can’t make space if yall don’t get picks!
Signed the tank.

lmao do your job so the dps can follow
You should duo with Ayanga
I’m invis in the backline, just waiting for the right moment
almost
hold
Sorry I’m not playing generic hitscan #4 I need you to go in before I can be in range to get a pick.
You have to make space to enable the picks. If the squishy tries to push ahead of you to make it happen anyway, they’ll likely get deleted by damage you can mitigate. Their other alternative is to flank. But needing to go on a long flank puts them at risk of missing important moments in the team fight, or leaves them without the distraction they need to get picks even if they are fully present. Flankers are opportunists and work best when the enemy is preoccupied with what is happening in front of them.
I’ve had this happen too many times.
I booped them 20 times, slammed multiple of them at least 6 times, turned the entire enemy team around for half the time they are alive, and STILL I see my teammates refusing to fight or they keep running away from the cart or hiding in corners if its KOTH.
I get it, I’m moving so fast you can’t comprehend where or what I’m doing, but dear Lord! If the sound ques didn’t give it away or how often that you’re not reciving fire at all for large windows, seconds at a time, then Idk what else to do besides scream into my mic for you to stop hiding amd runnimg from the fight and just SHOOT SOMETHING.
Like if you’re waiting for me to die, it’s not happening. I can survive for minutes at a time. Without a support pocket and just on healthpacks. Definitely without your help if I’m skilled enough to stall a cart enough to eat out minutes on the match.
So the only one wasting time is my teammates who are so innate that they need a tank shield 24/7 right in front of their eyes.
There’s 3 different playstyles. Please just for the love of Tiki Goddesses learn how to play with dive already!
Sojourn, mcree, and ashe are too strong compared to other options. Tracer and sombra are the only two dive style options that can get good “reliable” value. Most people don’t want to be forced just to play those two to go along with a dive tank. And theres way more dps characters than those 5.
Kinda hard to make space, when the DPS players are flanking +90% of the match.
The dumb part is…they work with dive well enough. Reliable dps is also able to cover for their backline.
Like there’s been a rampant wave of suicidal dps lately that just expect full healbots and hold W. They only ever moonwalk when pressured which is very predictable movement.
lmao flanking is what a dps should do
Making space is not just holding a shield up or in most non dive tanks’ cases, holding a giant sign that says “shoot me!” as a sacrificial meat shield.
A lot of tank players hate that sort of playstyle. And its the lone role so there’s less incentive to even play in such a manner.
Each tank creates space differently. Its not the tanks job to yell “There’s space now!” Its literally a core concept and basic skill for the other, and quite frankly, more abundant roles that dwarfs the amount of tank players avaiable.
So when tanks say something…maybe you should do it? They’re already enduring so much, they have to be of higher quality in skill compared to average players to succeed, and well…it’s their job. Just as much as its the dps’s and supports’ jobs to see these ques and take advantage of it.
This comment I golden. I love ball and this is his kit you described. Sooooo Many passive players but I think it’s a community thing. Most of the players are not the Alpha Aggressive Personailty types. Think about the people you are playing with on a “deeper” level. A lot of “personality” find it’s way into everyday interactions and in this case play style.
my fault I’ll stop nutting and lock in
Not every dps.
Covering off angles, yes. Definitely. Every dps should learn to do that. But many don’t. They just sneak around like a crouching Mccree in Narnia looking to steal POTG. With a cheeky “Its my SPOON!” ultimate or the Genji player who holds onto dragonblade for so long that they lose value. So…so much value. Newsflash Genji is bad at frontlining! So many Genji players only use Genji for killsteals off blade dash. And we can tell bad players do this because their damage is low, tgeir pressure is nonexistent, or either they just have super bad follow ups with tank or back coverage for their other teammates.
Then you have no idea what “Making space” even means.
Strange thing is…I’m neither super aggressive or that purposely annoying irl.
I’m rather silent and keep to myself. I don’t like taking up spotlights. I don’t want to be a champion in many cases.
I just want to do good.
So…I just do.
I find it more effective keeping a gap between fitcional characters I control away from my own life. It makes me a better player because I don’t conform to labels or ever feel the need to play X because I’m X. Nah. I play what I can and what works for me.
If you like something. Go for it. Have fun. Enjoy yourself. But there is a level where its unhealthy and more hindering then players would like to admit or see for themselves.
I think most of these nontank players don’t.
Its an obvious sign they prefer a Reinhardt or a Sigma spamming shields for them.
That’s rather boring for a lot of players and cancels out majority of the tank selection.
So really, its not our fault if they don’t know how to play with what is essentially most of the tank roster.
Sure you can. You gotta make space so I can shoot the things. Don’t sit on the choke so I can actually see the targets.
If both the DPS aren’t coordinating with the rest of the the team, and just playing solo FFA in the enemy backline, while ignoring the objective, that’s not the Tanks fault.
