They didn’t buff Mercy cuz they wanted to nerf the DPS Passive and hoped for it to make her pess trash (spoiler: she was still trash)
Now they buff it back up and still don’t buff her.
During her own Mythic skin season?
Devs, are yall going through sth?
Until they either remove or rework her rez ability she can gladly stay at the bottom.
Dudes still got flashbacks from season4 of ow1, but the game doesn’t revolve around this afk character anymore, chill.
Mercy is always fine as long as Moira isn’t op.
Moira can kill her really easily.
When Moira got nerfed mercy made a comeback.
Perhaps she will still be fine as long as Moira doesn’t become meta
Doesn’t Mercy just mainly damage boost though?
I feel the buff hurts LW more than Mercy.
Have the devs said why they they buffed the passive? It seems to go against what they’ve said in the past about it.
Balance changes come from a deep holistic analysis of characters and their interactions at various ranks, looking at winrates and pick rates while still being cognizant of the bigger picture.
Of course in the case of overwatch, balance changes are divined from the entrails of the animals that Aaron sacrifices at the altar of the Shareholders.
If the liver is smooth, remove orisa falloff. If the intestines are twisted give mercy 5 more bullets. And of course, the ritual of changing sym numbers and reverting them the next patch needs to be followed.
