DPS heroes are so unbalanced

The fact that tracer, ashe, widow etc. are sooo much better than sym and mei is hilarious. What are the devs thinking? Every single game in GM is Tracer/Widow or Tracer/Ashe. So unfun to go against when they are hikariously broken. Meanwhile Sym and Mei is a throw pick?

Would be a quick dead of the game if Sym or Mei are remotely equal to Tracer at the higher end of the player base.

Prolly coz the base design of those heroes is bad? Also buffing them makes them overpowered for lower brackets coz they require less mechanical skill, which means they become the only option for lower ranks.

Speed, mechanics and precision should always be at the top.

Buffing Mei and Sym would ruin low rank games, lol. Tracer and Ashe are fine down here. Blame us casuals for your hero being dumpster juice.

The reality is mobility creep is strong in ow2 and its why the games feel so Cod like… and im pretty sure the consensus is unfavorable as the revenue this game garnered is much lower then ow1 even if og ow was bleeding out due to owl.

In ow1 teams played closer… with 1-2 players using pincer tactics to disorganize team play especially in 2cp. That entire style of play is kinda gone with the current iteration as its more death ball even with poke/dive/rush. This makes the game play loop really linear and favors hitscan based heros objectively more than projectiles.

Top all that with the size increases and unless they increase projectile speed i dont see a reason to play slow projectile heros in the current patch, because the value prospects are not there… and it makes the game BOOOOOOORING.

It’s because hitscan DPS players are the biggest snowflakes in the game. As soon as anyone else is even a little viable, they throw a fit until Blizzard nerfs non-hitscan back into obscurity

Its just hilarious when people say anything about any creep in concerns to dps heroes in OW2. When literally every single one is weaker than their OW1 state. And movement creep how? The passive was removed long ago mate. Keep up with the patches!

Because the vast majority of hitscan players want to be free to kill without thinking about their positioning, even if they have abilities to reposition very easily. They will complaint about every obstacle.

Sym is not tanky at all, she’s very squishy and so easily killed by a leaf falling from a tree 100 miles away. It takes her 4 seconds to kill anything.
Yet hitscans are afraid she ever gets 12 meters close to hit something with her slow charging beam.

Everyone complaining about it is really THAT BAD.

Ok the other hand, you won’t find good hitscans complaining about this.

I want:

  • no role queue
  • no one shots outside of ults
  • no immortality outside of ults
  • fast ttk, but not too high burst (such that a person has time to react after the initial shot is fired and before they die, even if the reaction is within a half second)
  • game design so that individual performance is always almost impossible to be effective compared to teamwork

Bro what are you talking about CoD is slow as hell.

Sym/mei are having issues with their large hit box mostly, making it easy for them to blow up in close range combat.

once that’s fixed I think we will be fine.

they could probably use some buffs but of course not the give 4 buffs to one hero type ones. symm and mei i mean

I really want to see a widow main play Sym some time.

I love seeing hanzo players cry about not being able to 1shot anymore when he’s actually more broken than he’s ever been.

Legit go to the practice range and see how far away you can aim before it stops hitting the hero in the head. It’s beyond absurd

to be fair though, in most ranks it takes more skill to play tracer, widow and ashe then it does to play sym/mei

they do scale a lil worse in higher ranks, but thats because they are so one dimensional

between mei and sym, mei’s by far the “higher skill” hero but both are pretty simple

everyone bullets are big, but hitscan bullets are still smaller then beams and projectiles and they still have fall off

i like playing mei and sym but i play them when i want to play in a brawl comp in the laziest way possible

I dont mind them being on top but I don’t like that this was a net-buff for Tracer and Widow and Ashe - who were already strong. :weary:

im surprised ashe was the only hitscan that didnt get the hitbox nerf in the hotfix/update. i havnt played her after actually since playing widow and tracer with the hotfix but i am sure she is still crazy. in season 8 there was always that feeling of no reg and a miss that you thought hey that should have hit but yea in season 9 its crazy how good she is

no wonder people put her in S tier with tracer. seems to be tracer is better but ashe is for sure 2nd
