Many people have become aware since the advent of Overwatch 2 that supports have been gaining more and more damage capability. On its own, it doesn’t seem that bad. However, when you take into account the fact that support also has control over the majority of heals and utility in the game, they become an absolute unit. They don’t need to synergize to bring value to the team. Especially given the advent of healing pylon and captive sun. This makes it so that supports are far better at applying pressure than dps.
