I don’t know what’s going exactly, or how to fix it. I switched my mouse from razer to logitech last night, and now when I open overwatch, and its the only thing that it happens with, my dpi jumps from the 950 I normally use to a much higher dpi(idk what exactly I check the Logitech program and it says 950) and I was wondering if anyone else has this problem, or knows how to fix it.
edit: I figured it out. I just had the auto profile switch in the Logitech app on, so it was switching profiles like its supposed to with the option on. I had forgotten I turned it on.
What mouse is exactly? Because maybe you accidentally press the sniper mode button
If you are using the logitech program for mouses and keyboards, there should be some settings for “profiles” What that mean is the mouse is going to have a different setting for every program if you set up a separate one for it. You might have set up one for overwatch and didn’t change the dpi. There is a main dpi for your desktop and separate for each profile you made. Using this program you can set up a different dpi for csgo and overwatch. Check deeper into your logitech settings.
What the guy above me said. There is I believe 5 different dpi profiles (plus sniper button) , and depending on your mouse a button will shift to the next or previous profile. I disabled all but one profile so that I wouldn’t accidentally shift it.
That page on the program. But delete all but 1 of the sensitivity levels. (instead of number of levels: 4… put 1) or disable those dpi shift buttons right next to your left click (depending on your mouse model)
I am using the g502, I’ve remapped my sniper button to something else, and I’ve already deleted all but the dpi setting I use. Its only increasing once I’m in overwatch, nothing else.
Did you fiddle with the ingame sensitivity yet?
Yeah. I run 5 sensitivity. And when I fiddled with the sens it either was way to slow or barely any difference
Only thing I can think of is windows mouse settings then with mouse acceleration. Maybe windows reverted itself
Edit: check mouse firmware?
like whats happening is that when I move my mouse around outside of ow its fine, but I go into ow it jumps up massively. even the cursor, not just the character.
Unno if it matters, but I have max polling rate (1000hz) and saved profile to device, and running it from device without the program open.
I’m not home, so I can’t check to see if logitech has a setting for per game. But sounds like you may have an overwatch profile.
ok. i’ll see if that fixes it.
I feel stupid for asking this, but how do I check firmware?
I have experienced sensitivity issues too, but I always have the same mouse.
after the ashe patch my already low sensitivity turns slippery and its around like 7.50, it feels so fast but the sens is low.
and I have never felt that before.
its not just sens for me, the game is turning up my dpi. I’ve checked by alt+Tab out and spinning my mouse in circles about the same size, and out of the game vs in game is a massive difference.
same thing happens to me but I haven’t mentioned it because its kinda the same thing.
OW uses raw input. Maybe your Windows mouse sensitivity isn’t set to 6? OW itself can’t change your DPI.
Somewhere in the logitech app. I think under the setting gear cog icon.
my windows mouse sensitivity is set in the middle. and up until this morning it was fine. it just for lack of a better term ups my dpi. maybe it can’t, but that’s the only thing that makes sense as to whats happening.
