DPI and Sensitivity Too Low?

Today I just got my first proper gaming mouse and was settings up the dpi and sensitivity settings on Overwatch. I’m a low sens user and my settings are at 1600dpi with 1.61 sens… far below what I’ve seen other pros use. Iddqd is the only one that’s been close to me with 400dpi and 7 sens. I’m not 100% sure if I’ll certainly be keeping it or maybe up to sens 2 max. I feel like I could go on like this but I think there’s a possibility I could be bottle necking myself. What do ya’ll think of these settings?

it’s all personal preference, you don’t necessarily need to follow the sens/dpis of pro players to be half as decent as them.

experiment with your dpi/sens until you find one you’re most comfortable with!

I play on 400 dpi and 10-12 sens my self, essentially a wrist only movement will get me roughly 70 degrees in rotation which I find to be low enough to play accurately and arm swipe for bigger turns.

You need to be close to avoid pixel skipping. Besides that, most of the players i’ve seen are actually on 800 DPI.

You have to take into account what is the space available you have and if you use wrist, arm or hybrid (like many of us). Be able to make 180º turns using around 85% of the width of your mouse mat.

Yes, I am aware of this tool. I am in the blue and any sensitivity I would consider to match with 1600 dpi would be in the blue as well.

Im not, according to that tool i have pixel skipping but its still close. You can have a bit and still keep 800 DPI. With 1600 I feel like the minimal shake or orientation of the mouse can affect my vertical aim.

Kinda depends on how much physical space you have and how much you like to swing your arm.

I can use dafran’s sensitivity but won’t be able to consistently 1 clip a zen. It’s all personal preference. I’d say use something close to 3200. If you’re having difficulty aiming (need to move a lot) increase it by 400 and see the sweet spot.
