when launching Overwatch 2 and loading into a game i am stuck on a screen that says Downloading update, the screen just has a loading symbol , i have left it for 30 minutes, cleared my cashing from local roaming, removed and reinstalled the game with pc shutdowns in between as well as reinstalling the Battle net client, i also restarted my router as well as renew/released my ip

My friend was going through this issue for days. The solution was to connect to a different network and attempt to join a game. For some reason, your router might have blocked the incoming update to your machines IP address and by connecting to a different network, it forces the firewall to “reconsider” the download. Hopefully this works for you too!
it is 2025, and after the S16 update my game is completely broken, nothing loads properly, i’ve reainstalled twice and restarted my machine, menus randomly disappear and I also have the issue mentionned in this post with being unable to join ANY game
J’ai le même problème. Depuis la S16 je ne peux plus aller sur aucune partie et je suis bloqué avec le message “Downloading update” / “Téléchargement de la mise à jour”. Je suis serveur Europe et j’ai AMD Software. Désinstaller Overwatch ou même Bnet ne sers à rien, réparer non plus, je ne sais plus quoi faire.
