Download stuck on fetching download manifest

always this bull**** when i try to play overwatch

changed my region from eu to america without vpn, shutted down my windows defender, restarted battle.net app. update works now.

had this too. Well for me this worked. Sign out. Quit all the blizzard update instances with the task manger.

Open blizzard and login in using the Asian Server (US Server didnt want to work, EU here). Then this manifest started to update.

Works now.

same problem here for 3 hours now. I tried all the suggestions in the forum but nothing worked. This is clearly a problem from Blizzard’s side. I hope they will come up with a fix soon.
And I was in the middle of my comp placements…

This is clearly a problem from Blizzard’s side.

An Overwatch Developer, Bill Warnecke, has acknowledged that the issue is what I mentioned earlier about decreased download speeds from content delivery. You can follow what’s happening in this other thread:

There are a lot of issues surrounding this update and the connection speeds.

The update should work within approximately 20-25 minutes of waiting, just be patient.

For Anyone trying to fix this , this is what i did:
signed out, switched my region to asia and using task manager closed down anything to do with blizzard including update agents.
logged into the asian servers and started my update.
the manifest finished and then the real update started at 0/mbs
then i logged out and logged back in to europe servers and it then downloaded the update and allowed me to play.

If you have a VPN, switching area does work. Kind of stupid that we have to use a workaround like that but there we go.
