Final weekend of the anniversary event, normally the OW team announce a double XP weekend, anyone seen any information anywhere about this? We’ve had it in every previous year, so hopefully this one too!

In each of the previous events it was announced a few days before the weekend and normally started either the last Thursday or Friday before the event finished - not good signs as they haven’t made any mention of it yet.
I wouldn’t EXPECT Double XP because this year has been very misleading for everything. Not just Blizzard.

Why would blizz give us double Xp when they could further disappoint us. That’s their style recently.

America has not been doing good for a long time it is just now brought into the public eye.
We know America hasn’t been doing well. We have been seeing it for a long time but nothing is gonna change

They should have confirmed it by now, hopefully today but idk…
They didn’t put a free weekend on this event like they used to so…
They leave it really late to advertise it actually. We might know later tonight as it usually runs Friday through Monday.
The free weekend and double XP are usually the same weekend I think.

As sad as that is you’re right. All the events are gonna get forgotten before the year is up and we will go eat back to being surprised by inequality and protesting all over again with little to no change.
Last year it was Thursday-Monday. In 2018 it was Friday-Monday. They’ve put on 2xp for every anniversary event since the start of OW so I don’t see why they’d not do it this year. They usually post about 2xp as soon as its live, so don’t worry about them not advertising it beforehand. We’ll either expect it today or tomorrow at 6 or 7pm BST

Normally Overwatch goes on sale during any events or so, especially even more true with Anniversary. For whatever reason this year, it didn’t happen, nor has a free weekend occured.
Guess we’ll find out in the upcoming days. Fingers crossed though, I want to grind the last few levels to diamond border lol
They normally post about it a few days before, if we don’t hear about it in the next 6 hours, I doubt it’s happening at all.

I really hope they’d give us the double xp weekend. It’s painful to level up new accounts otherwise.
That’s honestly the best reason I’ve seen for them not to do it.
