Double quotes again, why?

first sorry for my eng, i kno, i cant speak on it very well…

but mby someone can tell my, why 3rd time some hero has a doubble quotes?

in winter event it was a junkrat and widow quote, and now is brigitte.

u,blizzard, u re so hard working, so u not evet know what quotes belongs which hero ? or its some kind of joke ?

You mean 2 heroes saying the same thing?

no, i mean brigitte say 2 time same thing in sweddish. check new quote, and old no-event quote

To clarify, is one in english and the other is in swedish? Because that makes sense to have for people who don’t understand swedish.

no, both are in swedish

No, both are in Swedish. She says the same thing in Swedish twice, just in different tones.

The new one and the “Get Lost” one.

i hope, now u belive me

Not that I didn’t believe you, i was just clarifying. … I’m wondering about the other ones though, I can’t find junkrat and widows duplicates and that’s probably because I have them in english… but I’m guessing Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas Might be similar?

Edit: even weirder since Widowmakers are in french and seem different currently. Maybe they fixed it?

yeah, the quotes from winter ever are strange to me too…

look, im Polish, im playin in ov with orginal dub, and polish sub

and junkrat in polish (winter event) got 2x same quote “wesołych świąt” it mean happy holydays, in orignal he got it and “merry christmas” but i hope u’ll agree with me, it acually same thing…

same widow, “wesołych świąt” and “wesołych świąt!” (only ! mark  )
but he speak mby diffrend quotes (she speak it on french), but it meaning is same, u kno, happy holydays and merry christmas

also now, in polish verison mei and junkrat got simillar quotes, eg. 2x im sorry in polish for mei. i know, in orginal one of them is in eng and second in chinese. but still… IT MEANING SAME THING…
and also it a mistake for polish location team

i dont know why blizz do this… and im very disapointed of this… of this whole anniversary event, im sorry.

Merry Christmas is a traditional well wish for the Christian holiday. Happy Holidays has no religious implication. It’s an important distinction in english and people are kind of touchy about it.

Sounds like the polish voice team took some shortcuts and something should be done about that. But this years quote for Brig being exactly the same is really bad.

thank you to explain me that, i never known is such a diffrtent in this. In polish is only “wesołych świąt”

but fun fackt, we have 2x happy new year  (Szczęsliwego nowego roku [litterary happy new year] and Dosiego Roku… it almost mean same think, but still  )

so I agree is polish voice team mistake, they choosed ‘the easy way’.

but still brigitte and Mei “sorry” in english and in chinese (still same meaning, in my opinion  )

there is one more think which annoying me in event, in whole events actually… but we have anniversary, so i explain that on anniversary eg.

i made a little reaserch

  • hearoes with no skin - Ana, Ashe, Babtiste, Wrecking ball, Mercy, Moira, Rein, Reaper and Zenyatta

  • heroes with 1 skin- genji (2017), Hanzo (2017), Cree (2018), Orisa (2018), Tracer (2017), Sombra (2019), Torbiorn (2018), Widow (2019), Hog (2019), Winston (2019), Zaria (2019), junnkrat (2018)

  • Heroes with 2 skin- Brigitte (2018,2019), Lucio (2017,2018), Mei (2017, 2019), DoomFist (2018, 2019), soldier (2017, 2018)

  • HEROES WITH 3 SKINS - Dva (2x 2019, 2017), Phara (2x 2019, 2017)

(sorry, if it a little messy, i write it on Polish alphabetic order  )

I cant understand why blizzard thinking, it is good idea to give 2nd or 3rd skin to hero, who have skin from this event, and no give any skin to hero who dont have any…

summarizing-
we got 11 NEW skins
but only 5 of them belong to heros, who never got it before…

i dont like it…

and what i said earlier. it is problem of every event, and in my opinion, it shouldn’t happen at all. heros with no skins are victims here  (if u know what i mean… )
still i cant forgot about pig year without piggy with skin… shame

Im sorry if I made a offtop, but when I saw this, I got angry

yeah, “get lost” and the other one both mean the same thing in Swedish. Oopsie.

It happened to mei in my language, I think the VA couldnt speak that line in chinese so its a second “Sorry, Sorry, sorry” but in a different tone

ooh it is sad… Like I wrote it ealier, in my language on winter event, Junkrat and Widow got second literally same quote… :frowning: Im send u a virtual hug, i feel ur pain

BTW. another fun fackt

that brigitte quotes… in Polish sound in diffrend way
the older one, i can translate u as ‘get u out of mansion’
and the second as [literally] ‘get u fall on a tree’ … Polish idiom meaning fk off GO AWAY  [get out of here]

I didn’t quite understand what you meant either… The tone of diff phrases can have subtly different meanings though, so a playful get lost could be directed at Genji whereas a more serious one could be directed at Rein/Torb.

ie Genji could get a mada mada in the tone of “hubba hubba/oh myyyyyy”+optional eye brow raises).

Or “boooooooooooooob, dooooooo somethiiiiiiiiiiiing” in a whiny voice.

how is sense to give two same quotes, to one person?

That’s all in the comment you replied too XD

I’m probably not explaining it well (and the get lost thing with Brig may not be a good example). Essentially by different inflections you can give phrases subtly different meanings or can be used in different contexts.

Probably the best example of this is Groot “I am groot” lol. His tone and the way he says it conveys a lot of different meanies despite just repeating the same thing over and over

yeah and hodor XD

i’m so sorry, i can’t see the connection with it

mby blizzard should duplicate all existing quotes? hm ?

But… you just used another good example!?
