In the settings it show that you can map keyboard button, so you would assume that the option to use a keyboard would be available, but there is no setting to turn it on.
How about you use controller for the platform it’s intended for, and mouse and keyboard for what it’s intended for 
It would actually be better if console supported mouse and keyboard and matchmaking worked on input type rather than format. Heck, even single player console games support M/KB now.
OP: Keyboard and mouse support isn’t in there yet. For the current settings, either they just didn’t remove KB/M from the settings page for the beta, or KB/M functionality is just not there yet, but planned for October.

I wouldn’t mind if that were the case. It would be absolutely fantastic to see the queue times on DPS in high ranks go down drastically because the game detected mouse and keyboards and forced like 80% of high diamond and above DPS players onto PC servers.
But considering Blizzard removed aim assist for controllers on PC to appease M/KB players, they probably would never do that lol
Yeah, you’re probably right. It could easily be solved by just changing the rule to remove aim assist if you party with a M/KB person instead of just PC, because the aim assist drama in the Apex community just isn’t worth dealing with. But I can totally see Blizz not caring and bothering too.

Depending on the circumstances, the toxicity towards M/KB players on console servers is very much deserved lol.
People only use M/KB on console for two reasons, they’re terrible with controller or they’re terrible on PC and so they go to console servers for an easier time lol
There’s ways to do it by converting the keyboard signals into controller inputs, aint cheap tho and it maintains the controller aim assist while now using a keyboard which is cheating.
On pc it’d be even easier to make a computer think a keyboard and mouse is actually a controller and allow aim assist to be used alongside it, which is why aim assist is not on pc even for controller players
Ppl who use converter on console are just scum and deserve all the hate, but I don’t get why ppl think aim assist is op it really isn’t in my opinion
