Ok so, one of Doomfist’s arms is a prosthetic replacement. But which one is it? Is it his right arm? Is his robotic arm what allows him to wield the gauntlet without killing himself? Or is it his left arm which allows him to use his hand cannon?
The hand cannon doesn’t make any sense at all mechanically speaking if his left arm is organic. But does his right arm NEED to be mechanic to withstand using the Doomfist gauntlet? There’s a voice interaction between Doomfist and Junkrat about ‘trading fists’ and Doomfist tell Junkrat that he wouldn’t be able to handle the gauntlet. Is he saying that because Doomfist’s prosthetic arm allows him to use the gauntlet? Or is he mocking Junkrat’s physique saying that his body simply wouldn’t be able to handle the gauntlet when compared to Doomfist’s much more stone like body type?
My only guess is that his left arm is the prosthetic arm which allows him to use the hand cannon but Doomfist has gone under intense physical training to allow for his body to withstand the kind of power the gauntlet puts on it’s wielder.
It could work the other way around making his right arm the prosthetic arm allowing him to use the gauntlet it turns his left arm’s hand canon is just some kind of weaponized implant (which is kinda weird/gross to me if that is the case).
