Doomfist is by far the most annoying hero to play against. Every single ability is a cc, and being randomly one shot by a punch is so tilting. Even worse is the fact that he is incredible on certain maps, so it’s either you have a doomfist player on a great map who is absolutely dominating, or you have one on a bad map who is soft throwing. It is just so frustrating to play against…

Oh, I don’t know, maybe because he came from the skybox? Maybe because the audio was prioritizing the explosions and other things happening around me?
He wouldn’t be so bad if I could consistently hear him and he couldn’t use BS rollouts to attack from the skybox, but it’s whatever I guess
For a game that is supposed to have “fun” as a core game design goal it comes as a shock that Doomfist got past the conceptual phase.

This game has enough audio issues that relying on audio cues will often work against you.
Doomfist and roadhog both have a lot of bugs, plenty of which are audio.
Or roadhog is a classically trained ballerina, but I am guessing it is a bug.

How are you being “randomly” one-shot by punch? You know they have a doom fist, you know where he could be coming from, you know to check corners and stay away from walls.
Sounds like you are just having trouble dealing with the 5 other players on the enemy team and the doomfist is doing a good job of timing his engagements.

Video evidence doesn’t change the fact he’s bad and has a sub 1% pickrate.
Especially when your “video evidence” (if it’s the same one) it’s you still playing doom in open queue. This game isn’t balanced around that.
Rollout doom is the worst playstyle for doomfist btw.
High rank players can counter it. You should learn how to as well.

I have a 70% winrate on doomfist right now.
He’s suddenly not bad anymore because I know how to play the hero I one trick.

Don’t bother, OP. The arguments have been exchanged a thousand times over. They’ll just not get through.
You point out how toxic his jugglespam oneshot bonanza is especially for supports and tanks (as if either category of players needed more arguments not to want to play their favourite role with the current state of DPSwatch) - people will claim he deserves to be an absolute fun killer for everyone else because some nontrivial skill ceiling is involved.
You respond by pointing out the generosity of most of his ability hitboxes and the swiss-army-knife-do-it-all nature of every single one of his abilities (they all give movement/dodge, self-sustain, good damage and CC) - they will reply that he needs to have every single one of his abilities overtuned because he wouldn’t otherwise function.
When you point out that a hero design that requires him to be unfair and frustrating to play against in order to be viable at all seems to be a fundamentally bad design in need of a rework, people will mysteriously start quoting pick- and winrates as if that had to do anything with it.
In the end people will justify anything they have come to know and like, irrespective of any arguments that are presented to them.
