Doomfist or Genji

I’m not sure about which character I should main (use most often) but I’m thinking between Doomfist and Genji and you all give me some recommendations? thanks

Main Doomfist he is number one and he destroys Genji. Genji looks like an osito de peluche when he’s next to Doomfist. Yee haw

If you want to a lot of fun main Doomfist. He’s a high risk/high reward hero, so you’ll be risking your life to kill enemies.

Doomfist as 3 playstyle

The aggressive: you be with your team most of the time. You’ll use rocket punch to get kills. You might use all 3 of your abilities to get kills too. You’ll punish enemies that try to dive on your team. Escaping will be harder for you, and you might die right after you get a kill.

The predator: You won’t be with your team. You will strike from above. The main combo for this playstyle is Seismic Slam+Uppercut+shoot then escape with Rocket Punch. You’ll mostly target enemies with no mobility.

The Defender: You’ll mostly be with team. You will kill or punish anyone that gets close to you or your team. Your team will help you kill your enemies.

Here’s 2 Doomfist guides that you can watch. They’re very helpful and can help you become a good Doomfist main.

Doomfist one shots and stun locks his enemy. He’s the easier and most effective option. Plus they, won’t nerf Doom, racial politics.

Genji all the way.

Doomfist is high risk and reward, you can literally throw matches more often than a bad Genji.

Also learning DF is not fun by any means if you start from 0 expect dying to anyone who notices you in the map, your character has a bigger hitbox than Zarya and louder than reaper.

Also anyone who says DF> Genji haven’t see a good Genji in a whole time. Genji can kill and confirm more kills than Doomfist and his kit is more flexible.

Genji is most consistently viable, DF is much higher impact when he is viable.

I’d say main DF but also keep Genji at the same level.

Genji is easier to pick up on and generally is able to fit into most situations where he isn’t being directly countered.

Doomfist is harder to pick up, there’s a lot more to him to learn and can be frustrating to play since he has a lot of notable coutners and requires you to play around them constantly. But he has a lot of payoff to learning though and his impact on the match can be greater than Genji.

Not really, I just don’t like playing with either of them lol.
But Genji is better than DF imo. Dedication is the key.

Doomfist doesn’t fit into every scenario that Genji does, and is easier to counter. Genji is also easier to pick up and get value with, and his ult is kind of the best in the game.

That being said, once you get good at Doomfist you’re going to tear through the enemy team without needing your ult. You’ll still die a ton, but hopefully you’ll be taking two or three people with you. Genji can sometimes kill a team with his ult and survive, but he’s fairly useless until you get that ultimate. Doomfist is more effective on a cooldown, once you’re good.

Play Tracer.

Doom might be good now, but he WILL be nerfed.

Genji is good but he requires lots of skill and is only really good against squishies. He also has a lot of counters.

Tracer is just easy mode flanking and a good one can bait all counters, even Brig. Plus, your damage is good enough even against tanks, and overkill on most squishes.

Genji is annoying, and Doomfist is really buggy imo. And I just don’t like to play with their kits.

Doomfist is a gimmick hero and is easier to get good at. He hardly ever goes punished and instagibs half the characters in the game. Easy pick.

Why not both?
Genji’s kit is more flexible and consistent than Doomfist’s kit. But if you want to have fun, I’d say go with Doomfist.

I disagree, I’m having more fun playing DF than I think I’ve ever had playing OW.

I HATED DF, until a good friend pulled me aside and taught me how to play him for half an hour in a custom game. Now… I only want to play DF.
